We don’t need to trade roster players to add a center. Zib is a 1C and Strome for all the hate he gets is a solid 2C. We need a solid 3C, I think we’re deep enough in the prospect/picks dept we can get something done.

Honestly, with the position the team has put themselves in, they could really do both.

Shoring up the middle after Mika, whether we keep strome as #2 or look at him at #3 I don't think you need to trade roster players to accomplish that. Obviously, the bigger the trade the more you could upset that balance.

Ultimately it will come down to Stromes contract demands. Hes gonna be 29 when the contract ends. Personally, I wouldnt sign him for more than 3 or 4 years. Anything more than that and its a hard pass.
