Zac Jones reported to Rangers this morning and skated. There is no quarantine requirement.
get him in there! - NYRangers1124
It will be good to get him in during this "series" with the Devils, but let's remember yesterday he was a College Sophomore, so we can't expect too much

I really don't know what they are going to do
there's at least 5 untouchables and a guy with a NMC - jimbro83
Yea. You look at the development of a lot of these guys on the list and you find potential regular NHLers. Which means the Ranger's cannot keep all of them. It's amazing the scouting they have done on these D-men.
AND, the top 4 D-spots are pretty locked in unless Trouba is somehow traded. But he is player solid hockey for awhile now. So why trade him. |

I know you hate offseason talk
But man this could be a crazy offseason with the cap space opening up and so many tradeable assets |

just to clarfiy though, Jones actually did play one year of junior hockey in the USHL, and then he went to college for two years
the Rangers drafted him based on that one year of junior hockey

I do not think anyone can make a huge argument against the Ranger's scouting team being on point for several years now.
Too many potential NHL wingers, too many NHL Dman in the pipeline. No Centers... |

good news is that Gorton pretty much said yesterday Lundkvist will be signed once his season is over
in fact yesterday he was willing to commit to Lundkvist was signing more than Jones - jimbro83
I believe he used the phrase "get him over here for next season." when talking about Nils. |

This is the dilemma I touched on, but didn't want to beat to death last week.
Consensus says you need depth down the middle to win the Cup. We are ridiculously deep everywhere but there. Is that worth taking a shot at it these next couple of years with our current makeup, or do you trade from strength to fill the need even if it means potentially upsetting the balance of the roster?? IDK. |

Honestly, with the position the team has put themselves in, they could really do both.
Shoring up the middle after Mika, whether we keep strome as #2 or look at him at #3 I don't think you need to trade roster players to accomplish that. Obviously, the bigger the trade the more you could upset that balance. |

and rightfully so. 52 points in 56 games in the USHL. Won rookie of the year and led the league in assists by a dman |

You can start the ROR trade talks. Only 2 years left on that deal. 2 way player would fit in perfectly. Blues on verge of having to rebuild a bit, especially if Binnington goes full Matt Murray. Just sayin' |

We don’t need to trade roster players to add a center. Zib is a 1C and Strome for all the hate he gets is a solid 2C. We need a solid 3C, I think we’re deep enough in the prospect/picks dept we can get something done. |

I think this is feasible. Upgrade through a trade and through the draft. However, that is all easier said on a hockey forum than done in real life. All about who is available and who is willing to trade. |

With the cap being what it is there’s going to be some good players available this summer. We’re one of the deepest teams in terms of prospects and picks which is exactly what teams trading away guys for cap reasons will be looking for |
