Same. Very underappreciated player. - Scoob
Yup. They shouldn't be re-signing a player like him anyway though with players like Laczynski and Allison competing for spots next year. I really liked him while he was here though. |

Yes but you are not the experts or the casual fan. Naturally people will think less of the flyers.
I do think it could prime them to bounce back. Some players are figuring out their games. Sanheim , TK, farabee scoring yesterday helps. Morin comes to mind. Lindblom should be better. But they still need speed and a change. Unless frost really is close to a G they need upgrades with high skill. More than anything Provy has to be much better. No need to mention Hart because we all know - wcorvette
Not looking for specific players because I think that is unfair to ask but how do you think they'll go about doing that? What comes with that?

This is a really strong pick up for Washington. Raffl is going to upgrade their 4th line. He can ship in offense and play on the PK. - MJL
I dont disagree. Im just saying WSH had a ton of options to upgrade their 4th line. That affects the price.

after he is done rearranging the deck chairs, he will bake them a cake to gear up for the playoff run |

Fletcher has an early evening game of Twister with Stewart and Prosser planned. |

Everything I’m looking at says he was signed to a one year deal. - Sublime55
Ok. So Gus is only signed through 20-21? I guess so. So we miss his services for a few games and pick up a 7th round pick. |

I always liked Raffl as a guy that never seemed to take a shift off. One of the few on this year's Flyers team. Agreed he's a great pick up for the Caps. Wish him the best and hope he wins a cup with them. They're an absolute terror right now. Made Boston look like a bad peewee team last night. |

5 years for a bottom 6 player. Smart move.
When are all these stud draft picks going to come along so they dont have to give out 5 year deals to this type of player? |

You act like I'm saying it was only due to playing on the top pair. Get it together. - MJL
No I’m not, I’m telling you it’s ridiculous his 5 game stint did not hinder the kid. He did not have his poop together the entire season regardless of where he played |

Of course it contributed. It's simple common sense. The entire situation has hindered the kid. He went from being a very promising player to looking like he can't play. Same for Carter Hart. It's really not difficult to figure out. Get it together. |

What I think they’ll do is anything to get someone for Provy. After that they will have to move picks and pieces to upgrade their speed. If they bring in they have to send out, so I could see them using Patrick, lindblom and assets for the right fit. I can see them going bigger and using TK and even Farabee but that would have to be a situation where they win the on Ice trade, meaning they get that best nhl player and overpay with picks or prospects. They have so many options to change it up. However don’t sell low on any D prospects, Myers etc.
I do think the team needs to give frost ice time, that alone doesn’t bode well for Patrick, maybe even lindblom. I think most think Patrick’s ceiling is a competent C3, I am not sure I agree with that but I can surely understand why.
I do think they are in a win now mode next season and I think they should be.
My preference is the find that D, make a trade to bring in a speed piece or two that can play middle 6 and roll the dice on the bounce back.
Funny when it comes to D I think Sanheim and ghost are contributing the most from what was expected. Ghost without him, points from the D and puck control would be diminished, the most recent stretch anyway. |
