Best news in this horrible year...don't care where or for what. They need to start looking for a steady, rugged veteran defenseman and find some forwards who can hold on to the puck. That'll happen over the summer. They need to find a way for other teams to find them hard to play. No doubt, they are a long way from being a contender for the next few years.

IMO we have internal options for 4th line. Also can fine cheaper 4th Liners in FA worst case screens too.

I made the awful mistake of assuming the rest of the d-corps would at least play up to or at least within the ballpark of their 2020 level. They've all been so bad

Myers was awful in his own role tho, had nothing to do with playing on the top pair. The D core just regressed and add in the loss of Niskanen, close the book.

Sure it did. Having to play even a small number of games against top lines with the dysfunction of the team defense and attention to detail, did harm to Myers as a player. That same situation cause Carter Hart's technique to completely breakdown. It's mental.

Those 5-6 games with Provy did not ruin him, he was going to suck regardless of that proven by his play away from him (which was the majority of the time).
