Reality is the Rangers just took 3 out of 4 points against a team that had one regulation loss all season at home. In a playoff push you take it and keep fighting on |

Absolutely. Now they need to take points in all four games against the Devils. |

Strome and Trouba should never be on the ice during OT. Both liabilities - nyrangers2
Trouba is terrible in the offensive zone since he can't skate and reacts a second too late to a takeaway. Great on the PK. |

On a positive note, that was Laf's best game start to finish. He was strong on the puck, had quick hands in short spaces, made good decisions and even though they didn't score.... that play he made on the boards that turned into a great pass and scoring chance to Kravstov IS the future. We're going to enjoy these guys for a long time. - WineryDog

So looking forward to watching Laf and Kravs for years to come. Was it Kravs that had that play to keep possession that led to the goal last game where he didn't get an assist? Love what I've seen from him so far. |

Ha. Yeah, I did have that thought too.
As skilled as he is, I'd like someone to investigate a little more why he's not a center. Usually, playmaking wings are on their off hand, so it's a little strange that he plays his strong side. |

They need a number two, two way center badly - nyrangers2
I don’t know if we’ve talked about this kid Kupari in LA, he projects perfectly for that. In his brief 3 game stint in the NHL this year he was 61% on draws. I’m guna be honest, I don’t care what it takes to get him, just get him. Our wings our ridiculously stacked for the near/long term future, our D is set with Jones Nils Robertson in the pipeline and we’ve don’t a tremendous job stacking the cupboard except at center. |

BUF essentially holds the cards for us making the playoffs or not. We also have to win a few games. |

Ive been saying it all season. If you put LAF's game under a microscope, everything hes doing is the right, simple play. He does not make many mistakes. Its looking like his game has finally started to catch up to NHL speed. |

He’s throwing more hits too, definitely more engaged and the skill is there. If it can work, Laf at C with Kravs and Kakko for years to come |

That's a good breakdown. His actions are usually the correct ones, he just needs to get used to NHL speed.
In a normal season, we're at the midway point. I'd bet good money Laf would be the best point producer of any rookie the rest of the way. Almost certainly top 3 and the best 5 on 5! |

I was resistant to moving him to center when that was a hot topic, but the more I watch him, he plays like a center, so it doesn't seem like a tremendous stretch to move him there. IIRC, Aho was a wing for 2 years before moving to center.
To be clear, I'm not pounding the table to do it, but I think it could work at some point if he's playing well enough that it's not a big deal if the "experiment" doesn't pan out. |

I don’t know getting 3 out of 4 points isn’t really a moral victory against a first place team. That is solid production |
