Didn't bother reading the article because I don't care anymore but loved the headline.

The analytic crew is in a state of hysteria over the loss of Gaudette, I love it.

He just doesn’t do any work. A lazy, pathetic “journalist.” The athletic does a good job explaining why they made the trades. Bowie isn’t an age gap thingy lol.

BeST TDL In a long time. The fact I never have to see Gaudette pencilled in as our 3C again is incredible 🥰🎉🥰

My take, is big fuking deal. Get through the season and prep for the next.

Bowey played well for the Rockets, he's a 6'2 RD. A longshot, but you never know.

This to me is just as bad as Codesey’s hysterics yesterday.

I mean seriously, Gaudette was a 5th round pick that over achieved. I’m not sad to lose him, but I’m certainly not excited over any of the moves. Benning does an excellent job of not getting any value in the FA or trade market though. 2/3 of his job he is way below average at.

They got rid of trash for a 6th round pick and a guy that is cheap and may help the 4th line. I mean, it was essentially a non existent TDL. Just glad Gaudette is gone that’s all.

Same here. I actually like picking up Bowey. It's a low risk tryout for a big RHD who is not that old in terms of Dmen. 8 years younger than Benn.

I dont think Bowey is in their plans at all. He is a warm body on a dirt cheap coNtract that they can expose to SEA

Absolutely Bowey another good snag by Benning. Fill a gap with a RH shot that we need. I didn't mind Benn but he came pretty much as advertised as my Habs buddies said he would. Way softer than I thought but I was impressed he got his skating in order and leaned up a bit. WPG won't benefit much from having Benn there which is too bad.

Nothing that happened yesterday hurt or helped us today. It was non existent. My gripe with Benning is that there is zero plan for tomorrow. No one will lose sleep on gaudette going, just like no one is excited or overly happy/excited we got Highmore or bowey. There is nothing exciting happening cause there is nothing he can do at this point with how he set himself leading up to this TDL.

I think collectively, a win yesterday would have been selling sutter, gaudette, benn, virtanen, and our UFAs with clauses, but he just can't do it.

I won't speak any more to it, cause everyone is super sensitive on it, but I'll be happy this summer when he hopefully gets the axe and we can move on from his tenure.

Good morning fellas - what's shakin? Wow our family's lives got turned upside down mid March, in a good way, haven't watched a full NHL game as I kinda lost interest with this f**ked up season and I've decided I will no longer cheer for the Canucks franchise as long as Aquilini and Benning are in charge of the team.

FYI...our immigration status came through for the USA so we sat down as a family and decided to sell our house in Victoria and permanently move down to our cherished gated community (for Marwood ) in Scottsdale.

Still in the house until the end of May, but it's sold, so we're just preparing for the move down south. Can't believe the stupid prices people are willing to pay, it's ridiculous, but we're not complaining....great time to sell!!

- DraftandDestroy

Congrats, my friend! Good stuff!! Enjoy the time with your family.

I’m thinking the exact same... which is too bad because that means the Canucks will protect Myers.

100% the reason for the acquisition. Exposing Myers is the right thing to do in so many ways though.

What's wrong with Myers?
