To me it signals that we’re trying to retool the 4th line instead of bringing in top 9 guys, in which case we really should just not do anything.

I have been reading all the negatives about EROD and I see nothing but hustle and enthusiasm with this guy. He is not the most talented but gives it all when he is on the ice. He has speed and his attitude is top notch. All of you keyboard GM's are really wrong about this guy. Lay off

ZAR-Blueger-Tanev is going to be a thing no matter what. So that means either McCann or Zucker are going to be playing with two fourth line or 13th forward caliber players and that line will be stupid.

Zucker/McCann - Gadreau - ? Could be 2/3’s of a decent line if gadreau can maintain his quality of play. Now the rw is where problems start and deslauriers will not help. But If you’re gonna suck at least he’s tough. Better than neither I suppose.

I guess it also goes back to the idea of whether or not ZAR/Blue/Tanev is a third line that makes the Pens competitive enough in the playoffs.

I didn't even see that Deslaurier still has sone more year remaining. It's still not official and I hope this isn't the move. Just seems useless.
