We were suppose to have a Huge Defensive. Big physical D. Weber doesn’t hit anymore, instead he Cross-check, Edmundson is good tho but Kulak,Mete are not options. Romanov is physical but I still believe he needs a good mentor. Petry is the Kovalev of Défense, never know what kind of game he will bring. Charriot was lost.. but physical.

So where do we stand? The D system is always giving the Blue line cause they are too slow to backcheck on dégagement(wtf is the English word?).

Oh well... this start to scare me tbh

yeah sure for Drouin, most likely, but he won't be traded on monday, can't see it

look at that line up, they kind of need him

by the way, can this team afford to lose Tatar this summer?

- deadpoulet

If you manage to get rid of Drouin, you can probably find a way to keep both Danault and Tatar, if not, the money won't work

They dont see to think Romanov is ready
- Karine Hains

he wasn't

maybe they could try him there now while the team sucks anyway (unless they get one before TDL, which is what they should do)

I'd rather not lose Tatar...or Danault, i think they can afford around 5.25 each, anything over that and they'll lose one, maybe both... would be a shame to see Tatar walk while Drouin remains on the roster come next season, that's for sure.

3rd overall pick pedigree and now previous link with Ducharme... but yeah, everyone's patience is wearing thin...I wonder if the Canes might bite on him somehow...If it's true that they want to trade Haydn Fleury as Lebrun reported, it's worth a shot I think...
- Karine Hains

Saw that about Fleury, they're holding him out of games or something...

not really, I'm not waterboy

I don't think that what we would like to get is on the market right now (PMD)

But maybe a two way defenseman who is not a pure stay at home could come in

Maybe Ryan Murray (I don't know)

Fleury isn’t really good. He’s been scratching lately.. But to get rid of Drouin it might worth it. But how do you justify Sergachev for Fleury?

Canes are really deep on the backend, being scratched is not necessarily a knock on him, Jake Bean has been scratched too... and you can't keep looking back at that trade, doesn't matter anymore, holding on to the mistake only makes the mistake worse, no?

Ok, but they really lack some talent up front. People are moaning about Perry and Drouin but what are the solutions? Yeah, yeah Caufield. In a few weeks, I agree

This is why I was not convinced when you mentionned they should trade Tatar before TDL to get a defenseman. They would have to rely on Drouin even more

Yeah, I would keep Danault and Tatar over Drouin, I think we agree on that one

But if you trade Drouin, you have to retain some salary or take a contract back

Unless you are willing to give something really good with him to dump him

Don't say Mete, please

You’re right about trades but this guy is going to get crucified. He’s a physical D without any offensive upside. We lack puck moving D on the backend

lmao

Mete is always a throw in, in any trade because it makes sense, especially in a trade for an experienced LD from a team that is selling...

In reality, the Tatar and Danault raises would only be 3-4 million, Armia alone would almost be enough, then you have Lehkonen, 2 million less on the Alzner buyout, the 1.5 in reduced salary to Allen and also the Seattle pick, could be one of Chiarot or Eddie, Kotkaniemi needs a deal but won't be a ton more

Will Bergy expose him?

They certainly would take him if you give them one of the second rounders... or both, whatever

You agree with me now that Allen has been shaky ? Maybe he was used to a better defense in STL. Of coz the whole team has been lately as well

I realize it was a different coach but, how do they justify scratching Tatar earlier this season but Drouin plays a regular shift 5vs5 and on the PP? Getting real sick of that guy...
- obie

We all know the answer why. I’m fully sick of the guy at this point. The sooner he’s off the books the better. Can’t come fast enough.
