There is no doubt Jake will be exposed, but I can't see Seattle biting without considerable help from the Flyers; his contract is just too much for what he gives you.

How much $$ would the Flyers have to retain for them to take him? I think he is 8 - 8.5 million cap hit.

Why would I get vaccinated for a virus that has a over 99% recovery rate for my age group.
Plus the vaccinations are essentially still in the trial period.
You, don’t know if they will be effective.
There has yet to be a vaccine that worked for a corona virus.
Don’t counsel anyone because I don’t think you’ve actually looked at both sides of the situation.

1. For the same reason you get prostrate cancer followups/treatment. Prostrate cancer has a 5 year survival rate of almost 99%.

2. Because you can still infect others who have a higher chance of death than you do.

3. The trial period for vaccines end before they are approved. Further, hundreds of millions of people have been innoculated with little side effects of note. So you have volunteer trials as well as hundreds of millions of real life human trials.

4. Studies and data show your chance of getting Covid after vaccination is 0.5%. Further, even when you do get it, your chance of serious illness becomes almost 0.

5. There would undoubtedly have been vaccines developed for SARS and MERS. SARS died out almost totally after the initial flare up. MERS is highly localized and not as transmissible. There are several vaccines in the process for MERS. You will have one soon. Its not as urgent an issue, so little resources have been devoted to it.

6. There are no both sides of the issue. There is the necessity and safety of the vaccine on one side and bullpoop on the other.

This is the first game where I really think AV had a hand in losing the game. I have also questioned AV's moves in the past, but I never thought they were egregious enough to cost the Flyers a game, but today was different. Not playing Farabee in key moments in the 3rd period? Not taking a timeout after the icing when everyone could see G was gassed? What the hell was AV watching there? AV in my mind has a good slice of the blame pie in this one.
- jd250

Think about what you are saying here, dude. How can there be a timeout after an icing? That would defeat the purpose of the icing rule, right?

AV knows the rules of the game and knows that you can't call timeout after an icing. It's only been how many years since that rule was put into effect.

What has China's vaccine got to do with it? It's not available in this country.

Before the rule change, you could call timeout on an icing

Very funny.

The Russian one sucks too, apparently. India has at least one produced locally - I dunno about that one either.

Ha ha.

That was my fault (and not a typo), not the spellchecker or auto-fill's fault.

That's right, it was changed in 2018. Ok, so I can't kill him for that one. But not playing Farabee in key moments in the 3rd? That I don't understand!

Trading Giroux is exactly the shakeup that is needed.

I know G had a tough game today, but he is not the problem on this team. They need more than a shakeup however, both with players and coaching.

Define more than a shakeup.
