I think the best description of this season is that Jan/Feb where like when the Titanic set sail, March would be hitting the iceberg, and April/May will be realizing that there are not enough life boats to save all of the passengers

If they had stuff together they would have anticipated this happening and started talking with other teams. Do you think they just act like fans and make last minute decisions? All of the signs of a total collapse have been evident for weeks. If they don't make drastic changes its because they couldn't find the partner...not because it just dawned on them...at least I hope they're not that management limited

As a guy that works with Marines each and every day for the last forty years I can say its never easy to understand them, they tend to feel they are indestructible. The guys I get to work with are all hard working, intelligent, and quixotic. You know that 30% of the general population is still worried about the Vax. Note that most service people are young as they tend to retire earlier than people in other professions...Younger people also feel they are going to live forever.

Who will sign a player for 8.25 million for just 1 year and lose a first in the process? The ones who need him that bad are contenders who don't have salary space. The ones who have are far lower down and they won't do something like that.

Best to wait when the price is high, and the salary is prorated for the remainder of the season.

This may bee an unusual question, but do think any of the players that would like to be traded to a playoff team and get a chance at winning the cup? If so, I can't imagine they would be too vocal even in private.

Most of the guys I work with are officers and with age comes wisdom. The brigs have seen plenty of youngsters who foolishly drink and drive. As a guy who got his vaccination as soon as possible, I counsel everyone to do the same...if not for themselves then for the others that getting the country vaccinated will save. My point was that I don't think the 40% is much different if compared to the general population of the same age.
