fFoligno will help a bit defensively. They plan to go OG Oiler style. Just outscore em.

I was thinking about someone else. You're right, probably wouldn't be much interest or return. Sometimes players like Tyler Johnson are placed on waivers hoping someone will take them due to salary cap concerns, or so they can be moved to the taxi squad or AHL. They are still useful players, but their team can't retain salary, so it's hard to trade them. If such a player were to hit the waiver wire, could they be claimed and traded, or is there a rule against that?

Think you have to keep a waiver pick up for a calendar year before trading him.

Bruins down 3-0 against Capitals after 1st period. McAvoy and Grzelcyk out with injury. Carlo on LTIR. After tonight they may want to consider adding a D.

According to this article, the only stipulation about trading players claimed off of waivers is they have to be offered to any other team that made a waiver claim on said player.

Ah, gotcha. I am not sure on the ruling on that.

That’s what I think too. Nose and Nash will help too but I have no idea how they’re going get playing time for so many forwards?

have to look at this way, bread. maybe a team can't take on the full cap hit but say the hawks claim him and retain half his cap hit, they can fit the player.
- Elbows15

I get that idea, but you run the risk of taking on a player and getting crap offers, then you are stuck. It is Bowman we are talking about ...

All kidding aside, I thought he was injury prone or bounced around some teams. I could have the wrong guy in mind, but that might factor. I don't know his contract (terms or length) which might nullify my original risk. Honestly, I never saw him as a guy to push a cusp/competitive team over the edge ... my opinion, so take that for what it's worth.

Have to think guys like thornton and Simmonds will be part of a rotation along with Kerfoot and some others.

UFA after this season at 2M. He is probably bottom pair/depth at this point in his career. Teams load up on D-men going into the playoffs. Need 10 NHL caliber D-men these days.

He can go pound sand. He isn't worth 4 and I am not even sure I would pay him 3.5 .He is not good.
- Elbows15

If has any smarts he's ll take what they offer , 4million no ! I like Z and want him on the team but not anymore than they offer. Like any player you play to your strengths which his are clean hitting and playing your position , not being caught flat footed so much amd letting players run around you. I'm willing to keep him if he works hard to get better in the off season, besides we have no one else that will hit anybody with that much gusto. It's been missing from this team for along time.

Because he's a crafty gm like that.

What's up, DK? How have you been?

Been good, very busy with work. Lots happening on the Death Star.

Looking forward to some more Bowman fails and mis-timed deals tomorrow.

I'm so glad Dubas isn't the gm for the Blackhawks

Rumour has the Pens acquiring Jeff Carter. This is definitely a move Stan needs to make.

So is the Wirtz family. He makes Tallon look like a spendthrift.

The interesting part is what in the hell the Pens have left to trade. May as well give up the 2nd for this year. They have 3 seventh rounder to play with .

So far the return is a couple “conditional picks”.

just dreaming but what would you think of a line of Suter-Toews-Kubalik? Also, there are a lot of times when Kaner looks like a spectator when he loses the puck. He's the star but he doesn't always play like it.

Stan's holding out for Kopitar at full boat and a 7th for Dach and Boqvist.

Campbell allows 5 last night vs the powerful Senators.

Anderson must be hurt big time to do this deal.

Is Stan asleep? He could have offered Delia.
