Downplaying the severity of the injury is just smart, if he admitted publicly he was done for the year the price of goalies would go up dramatically.

The only question is whether they use his LTIR $5M for trades or find the $ somewhere else. They have $5.8M to add now.

He also hasn’t started skating yet, so there’s that.

Took some time but we got it

To max LTIR relief the #Leafs recalled Marincin and Hutchinson which got them $26,973 from the limit.

The club then placed Andersen on LTIR giving them an LTI Salary Pool of $5,000,000. They then acquired Nash

Nash is not on LTI as of yet

These moves prior to the trade maximized the clubs LTIR relief
