That's my problem, and yes we are all arm chair GM's but Adams couldn't have worked with Hall on this a month ago and went to Boston and said hey I'm giving you the first shot at this or I'm taking him to the deadline, I want x, y and z.

Did Boston know this. If not then Adams falied to use leverage of other teams offers end of story.

Agents aren't known for keeping their mouths shut, so I am assuming by the time this conversation happened, yes, they did.

That doesn't excuse Adams for not working towards a better offer earlier, however. Sounds like he waited for teams to come to him, and it backfired.

Potentially, but from what is being publicly said everything accelerated in the last couple days, especially yesterday. I think Adams is a nice guy, but GM's around the league have got to be smelling blood when they call the Sabres right now. It is what it is, but this organization needs big hits with regards to transactions right now, and so far it's been lackluster with Adams.
