With a healthy jack eichel and Beniers and some roster moves this team will be fun next year

Isn’t his health in question? Neck issues that could be very serious?

This is an excellent post.
I think ullmark's injury concerns are going to devalue his ufa wishes.
I'm not %100 sold on ullmark longterm. 🤔

5x5 would have been very uncomfortable. Hope they don't cave and go higher.

It’s honestly funny how people still bash the last GM that brought us to the playoffs and made the playoffs most of the 16 years he was GM.

All with an internal budget

the d pretty much determines the goalie's success and failure unless you are hasek, brodeur or roy

True, but he did better then the last 2 GM’s. Let’s see what Adams does?
- c1067

I miss darcy at this point. But he overvalued his players big time, it's why he was so good at selling. However he was selling too often.

Team could have had Getzlaf and Seguin done the middle

Right now we are looking at UPL and tokarski in 2021/22... Adams has his work cut out for him. But I am being patient.

And he grossly mismanaged that situation. Team was young and set for years, but botched every move after the ECFs

Kinda a tough spot for kagm.

As fan's we usually have a general opinion on each player. I'm just not sold on his durability or ability.

5 x 5 is uncomfortable, but probably a realistic ask for his agent as an ufa. ( a ufa?)

If I remember correctly Golisano went to video scouting and got rid of the scouting staff and after that they didn’t draft as well. I may be wrong, but their draft picks weren’t panning out.

If you want I can go line by line on the players he kept, and the players he let walk.

I've never seen a team that good go that bad, so quickly

You are correct. They didn’t want to pay Briere and Drury? Not Darcy’s fault.

It's just like the Skinner situation with Stone, except KA gave him a 1year deal to put himself in this spot. Have to be smart enough to move on this time.

To be fair it only would’ve lasted another year or two considering how fast Drury and Briere went downhill.
