Yeah was worried about that, guess his agent wanted over 6mill a year for 5yr.

Where are we seeing that?

“Per sources, the Buffalo Sabres and G Linus Ullmark will not get a contract extension ironed out by the deadline. While he is not closing the door on the Sabres, Ullmark is expected to test the free agent waters as a UFA this July”

No I wouldn't give up a 1st for Hall though.

And Tronna giving up a 1st for Foligno makes more sense to me than them giving up a first for Hall

The ghost of truculence past

- jcragcrumple

If you’re a contender and need a top 6 winger to potentially win the cup then you absolutely give up a late 1st

If Adams gets a small return on Hall it’s a botched trade.

Seeing Nick go to Toronto made me think of Mike going there. Then I looked up his stats and saw Sabres got him from Detroit at 23 after he was instantly good first two years in the league. Great timing on trading Gare.

5.5 like demko would’ve been pushing it for me with Ullmark.

He’s developed and all that. But he’s done it for 1 year

Well with the most recent news on Ullmark, I’d be upset if we don’t move him for a pick tmo.

Could always try to bring him back in free agency

The 1 year deal was a big mistake. I'll be happy if they avoid compounding that with a bigger mistake of a crazy deal.

I don't fear it at all. We weren't even sure he was a number one until this year. Goalies are everywhere.

After watching Hall I wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't net a first. And I'm not saying that to give Adams cover. He deserves blame for the botched moves of the summer even if some were at Krueger's insistence. Hall isn't that good

He’s better than David Savard and Nick Foligno.

I think you’re way too emotional on Hall because you’re mad he didn’t work out here

He’s still a good player who’s probably going to immediately to go whatever teams top line and PP1 that trades for him.

His underlying numbers are all good

Boston?...rask having back problems, halak's in covid protocol and their grip on the fourth seed is growing tenuous

I really think the issue is, other GMs don’t want to look like they got worked by a rookie GM. NHL is very clicky...

This is what happens when you dik around with a guy for multiple years in arbitration. Sabres didn't show faith in Ullmark even though the positive development was there. And now they reap what they sow.

That said, there's goalies all over the place.
