1 yr @ $1million. So, in reality that’s like 250k(?) he’ll be paid for rest of this season.
A show me deal. Low risk/possible good return. He was so hyped when he came over from Russia.

He played well last season especially 2nd half offensively

Couldn't get it going in ruffs system

How can anyone possibly say he for sure takes it?

Dude is going to cash in shortly, why do we think he would’ve sacrificed UFA years at probably 2.5-3 mil less per year to make an extra 1.3 for two years?

- sbroads24

cmon man nobody is paying him 8.5-9 million

get real

7.5-8

Unless you meant 6 mil x 5 years instead of 5 or 6 years

And I still have to disagree that Reinhart just signs it.

Should we just expect Dahlin to take a nice team friendly long term deal? Or do we not expect him and the team to want a bridge?

If you get a good offer for Oloffson you make that trade.
- Stripes77

Can't have 2 guy's with good shots on the same team.

R2 is a proven nhl talent , 3 games under his belt.

I don't get the trade olofsson movement

if this team is good, he is exactly what you need in the middle 6 and a pp shot needed on the top unit

Olofsson is Ales Kotalik 2.0

If you get a good offer for him you take it and run.

He had one good nhl season. But you can say this year is a wash because of the mess that was Ralph but he’s still nothing more than a 3rd line winger PP specialist.

My only issue is playing him on line one. Team friendly 3ish mil for a couple years and actually playing his role I think would be welcomed by most. But he’s getting the Risto treatment of playing well above his pay grade, and just like Risto isn’t doing it particularly well. Imo of course

Agreed, but if he signed a 5 year 5 mil deal right now I think we’d all gamble on that.

I don’t think Reinhart was interested in a long term deal a few years ago and it’s always just seems like people pretend the player has no say

I might like this team even less now that I'm seeing guys like Asplund, Routsalainen, Mittelstadt, Thompson start producing as soon as Ralph is gone.

He set this franchise back another couple of years with his roster make-up and coaching style.

Unforgiveable.

if the kids give us the secondary scoring, there is no reason to sell high on olofsson

honestly I see a much better future with cozens, asplund, tage, casey and ruotsalainen

they are doing what should have been done last year with that jack ass we had for a coach

just stop bringing in scrubs like sheahan and eakin so they can play daily

He's also been 100% neutralized without eichel on the opposite wall on the powerplay. So do you need a roster spot for a soft small player who is bad 5 on 5 for a guy who will ultimately end up just being a space eater on the powerplay?
