Demko deal hurt
- Buff36

Getting lost in all this trade deadline talk is Eichel.

And not trade wise but injury wise. Is anyone hearing anything??

Haven't heard a peep on Eichel, but haven't asked either.

The other day on GR Bulldog said that his source said that it seemed very unlikely that it was playing again this year. I believe he also said he didn't feel comfortable getting into details.

Well that doesn't sound good!

The Sabres may have more problems than is known.

Wish him a speedy recovery!

Yes and it's not the term, that's why I said yesterday I was a little worried about Ullmark
- Buff36

I’d love to know the numbers. I was in the high 3s. Low 4s for him. But that other goalie got 5. It has to be an interesting negotiation.

Think we see another trade or 2 by the Sabres today. And might have to go goalie hunting, if the numbers don't change.
- Buff36

Adding a goalie for next year is a good idea along as they add grit and some scoring. For sure goalies can steal some games but offence can be a huge plus to help win some higher scoring games like 5-4 or this year a couple 4-3 wins. A year they really thought they had that secondary scoring but didn’t work out going with have scored guys rather than will score guys. Next year go young, fast, gritty and if anything it will be a ton more exciting

Have to admit, since his return, he's been a lot less strange...

Well if things don't change with Ullmark they are gonna have to add more than 1 goalie, and everything else I agree with.

See if Laaksonen or Fitzgerald get called up to the Practice Squad here soon, should tell us a little bit. And look to Carolina.

Miller or Risto?

I don't know about that - I got the feeling he was trying to protect his source. He also said that the one thing he wasn't getting out of his source was negativity about Eichel. He said that in the past when the team was getting ready to move a player he could sense the skids getting greased and he didn't get that at all about Eichel. I think that jives with what some have said in here - it seems likely that he'll be here next year.

Both could be moved, they have taken calls on both. Carolina and Risto and Winnipeg on Miller.

Getting his cap hit off this team for next year would help

Book this 36

Risto isnt getting traded unless it's an overpayment of epic return.

Would a warm glass of milk be considered an epic return? If so I'll take it.

How funny would it be if they got Jordan Staal in the Risto trade

Would Fluery and Nedeljovik (spelling) be reasonable.
