i'm not 100% sure but even if that is the case, his remaining salary will still count $3.6m against the cap
- Michael Pachla

I'm 100%.

It's 4.6. CapFriendly is already deducting the 1.whatever

If you take that kind salary dump, on top of what we already have, you're in tear down mode.

Why Chiasson is a UFA at the end of the year and Turris has 1 more year at 1.85 I believe.

is that the rumor?
- Michael Pachla

Hoffman is on the block. But no rumor just makes sense a little. Kings and Iaffalo can't come to agreement on a Extension. And Florida looking for a Winger

Yeah I'll watch BL. Got a looong way to go though. Arrow was my favorite until Constantine. That character is a ton of fun. I'm glad he's going to be in Legends. Arrow is great too. I like Flash, Arrow's definitely better. I watched the first two Supergirls and I'm not sure if I like it yet.

Season 5 of Arrow is outstanding.

not sure that makes sense for the kings...they could probably just trade iafallo for a draft pick and not have to pay hoffman during a non-playoff season

u know ur franchise is in the pooper when ur the middle man in a 3 way trade and just there to retain salary/get a token draft pick.
- wingz4life

Is spending roughly $303K in salary for Savard the remainder of the season a good usage of money for a 4th round pick?

I'd have a difficult time liking that if I'm the owner.

Well I would think LA would want to talk with Hoffman before they did it. Just think with those young C having Hoffman could help that, plus score some goals.

they also dumped lashoff and his $700K which makes it a net gain

FL needs help at middle6 center more than on the wing, imo.

I would normally agree, but if Adams can get a 2021 1st, a 2022 1st, and Broberg, that's some wizardry and you figure out how to work around Neal's contract.

It's not a net gain.

Lashoff's minor league salary is $275K and he's not an NHL player.

fine...they cut the loss to $28K...that's a very reasonable price for a 4th round pick

can we interest you in one cody eakin who once scored 22 goals/41 points when he played for a real team?

Okposo, Neall, and Skinner is a lot to work around. Can you really compete? or are you moving your window out a few years?

If they add Neal, they're trading Eichel because they'll be straight dogpoop

I hate that idea. I'd rather take a 2nd or 3rd straight up for Hall

You might be able to use that 2022 1st and get them to take Skinner or Okposo

Still no. $275K is Lashoff's entire AHL season salary.

The total cost of the 4th round pick to Detroit is over $200K when prorating the salary retention on Savard vs. the savings on Lashoff.

Not good value if I'm the owner.

anything is possible, but that trade is absolutely absurd...if holland trades away their first this year and next he has a grand total of two pick in the first three rounds of the next two drafts...and what is hall's worth, certainly not high at this time...

holland's not an idiot and there's really no way to justify that trade...it's absurd clickbait

fine...now that you've got your final number, do you really want to debate $200k for a rebuilding team whose estimated salary expenditure for this season, according to cap friendly, is $54M?...

it's well worth it for them...and since mike illitch bought the franchise they've never been afraid of spending money so there's no real argument here
