Don’t need Getzlaf, will become senior homes if that happens. Having Perry and Staal are good but they should alternate them with the other guys to ensure they are fresh

I'd put Staal on the wing, let him take the draws and move over, reduce his work load, Habs are weak on the LW anyway.... Staal Suzuki Anderson

Drouin won't go but it could very well be his last year in Montreal, 🤞

And yes, a D... Habs linked to all kinds of F, Getzlaf? Gusev? Don't need F when Byron, Lehkonen and Evans don't have guaranteed spots when everyone is healthy, Frolik never plays and yes, Caufield in the AHL... who would you rather add? Caufield or Gusev?

Caufield over Gusev.
Getzlaf is LITR and was replaced by Staal.

I doubt MB brings in a great Defenseman, a lot of rumours over Ryan Murray right now, he’d fit well on the 3rd pair but he’s also fragile.

Problem is cap space and with theses last few games we have lost its abit weird to know where MB will focus. Offense is lost, Défense is pretty bad since Edmundson and Petry got broken up (stupid Ducharme Idea) and goalies doesn’t do any miracle.
Good thing playoff is a new season

Maybe it’s better to say TDL is tomorrow otherwise Flames may not be sellers which by no means guarantee that the Habs is locked for playoffs the way they are playing

Caufield for sure, and sooner rather than later, 5 games vs Calgary in the next 2 weeks, that's their playoff spot on the line and they need their best in the lineup.... read Bergy has been checking in on Hoffman quite a bit too, a Hoffman/Dunn package would certainly be interesting...

Deadline is tomorrow

And I don't think they played bad against Toronto and the first game against Winnipeg... nothing was working last night though

Staal should be very other game in an ideal world but if we need to sit Drouin for a few to light him up Staal can play every game for now

We didn’t but we cannot play catch-up as that is a recipe for losing every game

That would be costly. Blues aren’t out of playoff yet and I think MB is prolly focusing on Anaheim. Rackell might be the target unless we do grab Getzlaf at 75% off. He won the cup and Habs looks to be pointing theses guys in

Based on the Habs record, they don't play well in more than half their games, regardless of opponent

It would be costly but Hoffman is UFA, Habs would have the assets to make it work but it's very unlikely still... didn't they say the Ducks we're asking for a king's ransom for Rackell? Fowler from Anaheim would solve a lot of the issues they have right now but all these guys with term are unlikely to move before the deadline.... probably gonna be a UFA D, wouldn't be surprised if it was the other Staal in Detroit

Yeh but I’m not sure Staal bro is what we really need :/ unless we are looking at Staal(6th D)/Glendenning(4th C) package

Staal was always limited offensively but he sure could skate, haven't really seen him in awhile, good defender with a very active stick, but that was then...

And Glendening is real good on the dot but who do you take out to put him in? Only F I would even consider is of the scoring variety, they have plenty of F to put together real solid bottom lines already

Well Glendenning is an upgrade over Evans. Solid on face off & PK but I know what you mean. Like I said I’d be surprise if MB brings in a great player, i think he’s going to fixe holes

Depends on which MB we get, in recent years his trades at the TDL are not great unlike 2013 to 2015. We need offense and defense, don’t think Glendenning or Staal really fits

I like Evans just fine but still, does Evans play when Gallagher and Armia return and Caufield comes up? It's not Evans' spot he'd be taking...

Unless a big trade appears I doubt we bring in a huge offensive man or Offensive D.

All they need is characters. Someone that can change the game like Gallagher did

Based on their records lately it may not be enough even with Caufield he still has to learn the NHL game, would prefer another top 6 that can put the puck in net

Gally is one of a kind, who else plays like him? It’s hard to tell Gally how to play but if he wants to prolong his career he really needs to know how to better protect himself

Caufield makes a difference in any close game, don't make it sound like they've been getting destroyed every night... before last night's fiasco they lost back to back one goal games to the 2 best teams in the division, outshooting them both... a natural goal scorer would make all the difference, especially one so dangerous from one specific spot on the PP

They are not getting destroyed but they are getting shots mostly from the outside, unless you get more PP or dangerous scoring chances it will not make a major difference with Caufield, it may help them win a round
