Nah...Dubas wouldn’t be doing his job. Trade or sign for a player and immediately begin to look for their replacement... that’s his job.

That’s a little different though...unavoidable.
I think the days of emotional decision making with regard to trading players is long gone for most of us. I think we can handle pretty much anything - if it made sense. But some may still cling to a player a little too much. No doubt I’ve liked players beyond their value in the past.

Especially if there truly is a strong team bond. Players on teams who finish high in the standings must think they are good enough to stand pat. And...Wedgie is right when he mentioned chemistry...I think that can be a fragile piece of the puzzle, professionals or not, these guys are human. Some people are diks...lol.

And...Wedgie is right when he mentioned chemistry...I think that can be a fragile piece of the puzzle, professionals or not, these guys are human. Some people are diks...lol.

This team still lacks mental and physical toughness to win the cup.
With the easy division, they might win 1 or even 2 playoff series this year, and then dubas and co. will be given more time again ('progress vs previous years!').
I'd like to see truly go for it, which means adding a top6 winger, and a d-man that can defend, plus probably an additional goalie.

im done with andersen, he never won us a game 7 and had too many weak months over the years..... time to let him go

It's usually a troll line to say the North is an easy division. Until we see the semi finals it is open to interpretation. In my view the Avalanche have by far the easiest division, with 2 strong teams, one mediocre team and junk after that. Arizona is holding down a playoff spot and have allowed 129 GA and are -15 in goal differential. Compare Arizona to Montreal and then tell me the North is the weakest division.
