That actually makes a lot of sense. but would kind of be insulting to Weber and Price.
It's better than my Idea of driving Weber up north to a nice farm to live out the rest of his days.

Depends how you put it to them, Brian was saying that it’s not insulting if Bergevin puts it to them this way: By exposing you, I am in effect protecting 2 more players. The Kraken will not pick up your contracts so there is no need to protect you even if you are core pieces of this team, this way, we get to keep more of our important players around.

Torts with Domi and Drouin? Yikes lol... that being said, his contract is up at the end of the season and he’s yet to sign an extension...starting to wonder if the Jackets won’t move on from him... I mean, Dubois, Domi, Laine, Roslovich... they’ve all been on his black list, at one point you got to wonder if the coach isn’t part of the problem. Surely Kokeleinen can see that...

you think MB would leave Weber open to protect Chiarot? or Mete? really? it's no like they have 4 solid dmen to protect, like some other teams.
good idea, but won't happen imo
same with Price. if the Kraken pick Allen, bring up Primeau, he'll play almost as much in Mtl than in Laval. and will learn from Price every day.

Not chiarot no... but Petry, Edmundson, Kulak and Fleury I would keep or there’s the possibility to protect more forwards as well...we’ll have a better idea post trade deadline when we see what we have on our hands for sure.

Weber Petry and another one, my choice would be Kulak. leave both Chiarot and Edmundson available.

Yikes, that’s one big contract and only for one more year. I think it could be intriguing to roll the dice on a guy who’s had a 99 points season and he’s a LW as well... but I don’t think the Flames would do it.

Look at where DET is in the standings as much as Drouin is inconsistent he can make that team better for the right return for both sides

no no. that's when, after spending your life winning kentucky derbys or disappointing hockey fans in many cities, you spend your golden years roaming free in a big, beautiful field impregnating every lady you see.

I think Edmundson has been a very good signing but then again, last year Chiarot looked like a good signing as well... based on their respective play this season though I think Edmundson brings some stability

Even if Weber is open I don’t think Krackens will take him. Better bet maybe Ottawa trying to take his contract to help with there young d core but again who knows

agreed, but lookng ahead I think Kulak could become a very good dman. a bit like Petry did. late blooners. very late.
and Seattle can only pick one. either Allen, or Edmundson, or Chiarot... we won't lose more than 1.
