Weber I have less of a problem because if he is no longer a top pairing dman, he is still a very reliable top4 dman. on almost any team in the league.
Price, that's another story. the sooner he asks for a trade the better.
spending 10M on a goalie is not the way to go imho.

Do you ever read Brian Wilde’s articles? He wrote about how Bergevin should not protect Weber at the expansion draft and ask Price to wave is NMC and leave him unprotected as well because their contract meant Seattle wouldn’t take them and I see his point.

If by some miracle Seattle were to pick one of the 2, the Habs could finally commit more money to the attack by replacing either by some lower paid option. I think in this league, you need a good attack to win and just building around the goalie is an outdated and flawed model. Say we protect Allen and Price gets picked, we could bring up Primeau to split the workload with Allen and we’d have 10 millions to spend on the attack...that would go a long way to helping this team...
