Buyer's market is an understatement. He was worth a 1st and a young D prospect picked in the 2nd two years ago.

Riley Nash is probably close to Sutter was this season and he went for a 7th maybe a 6th.

It’s why I agree with Benning. No trades. Still hate the TP signing

Lol. We don’t, and they obviously have some salary relief coming that we don’t know about. Still doesn’t make the deal make sense

I have to be in the right mood, but I'll throw on 90125 every once in a while. Mostly the old stuff. This one on vinyl parted my hair last night. The layers.....

He's not a great negotiator. We all have enough information to come to that conclusion.

Podkolzin is a beast. Kid makes so much of the minutes he's given, and still coming close to breaking KHL records for his age

He doesn’t try to win a negotiation. He try’s to find mutually beneficial agreements. Why agents and GM’s like and respect him. But you have to win some of these deals to gain surplus value. He needs to be more cutthroat. The entire Canucks organization is incredibly beta. Like wtf is the Ring of Honor? What are we honouring you losers for?

That is absolutely correct. I've often thought about Benning.

It's an honorable place to be and in certain situations, it is the correct tactic to take.

It's just such a bad strategy especially in this industry. You're dealing with athlete types (agents as well as GMs) who have only known winning and losing. They are out to win. Benning's approach gets taken advantage of consistently.

I'll put it this way: I take the Benning approach when I don't give a sh!t about what I'm negotiating about. If I care, I pretend to take the mutually beneficial approach and try to slant the decision my way. I thought everyone did that. I love coming across Benning types during negotiations.

I saw that. He really is a big game player. I never liked the pick but his ability to elevate his play in the playoffs is exciting

I'm actually surprised he was able to adjust his shot. That pass wasn't on his tape. Kid ties kravtsov for most points in the playoffs by a u20

You can have this attitude with your star/franchise players

Guys like Pearson need to be told that times are tight and that we'll offer what we can, then lowballed with a "best offer"

If they sign, great. Maximized value. If they walk, there are 50 other Pearsons out there looking for a deal
