But why hasn't he been cleared? He's been practicing for over two weeks with the team. What more is needed? - stevens87
Beats me. I think he has only been cleared for contact for a few practices though. |

RW had a Brown article a week ago. Forsberg and Tatar aren't up there because they are on playoff teams and unlikely to get traded. Same for Marcus Foligno. Just signed an extension for a playoff team where he is very well respected. It would be like us trading Tanev. Doesn't make sense. |

Why? Malkin is a natural center. Why wouldn't McCann just play LW on his line? - burgh4life87
Injuries for one.
Second, take some defensive responsibilities off of Malkin, put them on the younger, quicker McCann.

Old Lou sitting in the weeds trying to get Hall to. Panthers still the leaders for him with leafs and bruins in as well. Wouldn’t surprise me at all if Lou pulls it off though and gets hall to the island. |

I wish the Wings didn’t have Yzerman so I could see Feds’ cocky ass squirm when his GM sells guys for way less than expected like almost every dumb poop GM in this league does. - Victoro311
Cocky? Nah. Abrasive? Yeah. There’s like a 1% chance the wings win a cup while Yzerman is the gm. |

Oh I'm with you, I totally agree. I don't give a poop about expansion one bit. Any guy that is selected will be replaceable but as I asked early about Sully thinking like us... do GMs? - j.boyd919
At least Hextall is a new GM and wouldn’t be as overly concerned with the sunk costs of Zucker. |

Y’s a top flight GM in a league where the drop off from top flight to average is the Mariana Trench. It’s probably more like 2% |

My concern is that they may have already bottomed out while never drafting higher than 4th overall. |

Eventually if you keep drafting you will fall back asswards into a star regardless of where you’re picking. It becomes a time thing. Do wings ownership have enough respect in Y to let him work through everything or will he expire? That’s the real danger. |

The actual worst case scenario is not protecting Blueger and having him end up being Wild Bill Karlsson in Seattle. But if they take Zucker or McCann, oh well. - Victoro311
DeSmith could wind up being the big draw in the draft. Obviously we have to compare to what other teams will have available, but a back-up of his level has to be very attractive.

I think there will be plenty of goalie options so if there are roster caliber skaters Seattle should take them over a goalie. |
