Thinking your batting average just dropped.
Better get some more work in the cage! lol
Some of my predictions, going forward:
1. Jets playoff bound (hello) but don't win Lord Stanley
2. Paul Stastny re-signs for 1/2 more years; Perreault also returns at lower price tag
3. Adam Lowry and Tucker Poolman walk - Adam to Calgary?, Tucker to the Wild?
4. Two new coaches in Jet land this coming fall
5. Jets protect JoMo, Pionk and Stanley on D at Expansion Draft
6. If not protected, Jansen Harkins is Jet chosen by Seattle
7. Sami Niku is dealt; Copp hefty raise
8. Cole Perfetti spends at least one more year with the Moose
9. K. Vesalainen and D. Gustafsson are Jets next season (if not dealt)
10. 90% of these predictions are wrong!!! - grahamzky
1) Odds are about 97% in your favor
2) Perfetti is nowhere near ready so Statsny is a likely option for one more year.
3) Liekly 50% wrong. Lowry isn't worth much more than 1/2 MM more than he is already getting... so may just get re-signed after the Entry draft. Poolman is worth it at the right price.
4) By two new coaches I assume you mean Maurice. I don't see a plethora of better coaches out there than Maurice right now. Might happen sometime next season though.
5) 100 % except the Jets may trade a pick away to keep Demelo as well
6) I bet they might take Apples, if not him then Niku ( if not already traded ). A third possibility it the Jets trade Vesalainen and a 2nd so that Seattle will take the Little contract off our hands.
7) Probable
8) 100% agree
9) Gus will be if not traded in the next day. Doubt Ves will, might also be traded
10) Probably more like 60% will be wrong |

Interesting takes! All you suggest could happen - probably more likely than the Flames making the playoffs. lol
No, when talking coaches, I am not talking Paul Maurice. Paul will be back IMO. A couple of different assistants. |

Come play offs anything can happen.
Do I love the way the Jets play, no.
But
They are top 5 in NHL for both shooting and save % and in the playoffs, I’ll take goals and saves over chances and shots all day. |

Why trade picks/prospects to move a contract that's likely to be on LTIR for the rest of its existence? |

Yea my gut tells me Little is finished. Would be too risky to come back - the guy's got a life to live after hockey. |

I have a sneaky feeling that the Jets will get both Manson and Getzlaf in a deal with the Ducks. I have nothing to back this feeling up, just going on a gut feeling. |

Just in case he does come back. I would think that Chevy would have a pretty good idea before he would make this deal.
One must also consider that when LTIR takes a team over the cap, any overage from bonuses must be carried over to next season's cap.
While on the subject of performance bonuses. It's likely a good reason why Ves didn't play many NHL games this year, not that he's doing anything great with the Moose anyways. Ves is a very tradable asset right now. |

Certainly an interesting thought - and not out of the realms of possibility.
However to get Getzlaf and Manson, the Jets might have to trade the Ducks - Perfetti, Perreault (salary cap) and a 3rd - plus put Wheeler on LTIR - or something like that. And both Ducks players have NTC's.
Plus then the Expansion Draft - to keep JoMo, Pionk, Lindholm and Stanley - the Jets might have to give up Niku and a 2nd to get Seattle NOT to draft one of our d-men.
When you look at i that way, is it worth it? I'm asking - not sure of my own opinion.
Actually expect the Jets to do little. |

I'd laugh pretty hard if the Bruins somehow didn't make the playoffs. It's definitely not out of the realm of possibility. |

Like yo say it's a possibility. Not as strong this year without Chara and Krug.
Rask? Will the real Taylor Hall show up? |

Like to see you guys get Oleksiak out of Dallas.

I am seeing Nikita Zadarov’s name on the TSN trade bait board. Always been a big fan of his. I don’t think he’d cost much either. |

Yea Oleksiak, Zadorov - both would good additions, along with Manson. And you got Ristolainen and Miller, plus Murray.
Lots of good d-men out there, but will we get one, or which one, those are the questions.
Kind of wonder if Oleksiak is even on the block. The rest should be. |

Come on Chevy, send the 2021 3rd round pick to NJ for R.Murray, he's better then half of the Jets current top six dmen!

I am of the opinion that unless Chevy lands a D who can really move the needle like a Mason, or maybe Olesiak then why bother. Bringing a lesser guy in means someone like Stanley loses 12 more games of development ahead of the playoffs. |

Calgary has been a seller with both Rittich and now Bennett gone. So much for them still making the playoffs. Possible but less probable. |

Are the Jets seriously not picking up a defenseman??? Something has to still be announced, I would think. No way WPG can just do nothing |

I am disappointed too. I really think we will all look back at this season as a giant missed opportunity. I do not see this team doing this well when we are back in the Central division. Next year, unless we do something miraculous in the offseason, we are going to be fighting for that last wildcard spot if we are lucky! |

I'm not sure what Dallas was thinking in not trading UFA Olesiak. He would have been the guy the Jets could have gotten at the deadline and would not have caused any problems with the Seattle entry draft.
Was Benn one of the players with Covid ? Always a risk he comes in sluggish. Covid takes its toll. |
