Maybe not untouchable. But I would give him another year to see. I don’t think this is what he is.
- Peter Richards

Which is where the hypothetical other team coming in with a late second. Basically like someone buying a debt that you are owed bjt not likely to be able to collect on for a discount so you get a sure thing and it becomes their problem.

Yeah Id be lying if I knew anything beyond the first handful of names.

Who do you hold in higher regard. Sanheim or Myers?

Sanheim

I've long since given up on his ability to be a a top player. I wouldn't say I've given up on him being some lesser contributor, tho.

Taking him off the 'untouchables' list is probably more where I'm at.

I was thinking that Patrick could be the new Scott Laughton

So far I've heard from this board that the Flyers are shopping Laughton and Patrick. Laughton is an unrestricted free agent if I'm not mistaken. Teams like what he could bring. I have no idea of what Fletcher can get in return, but it won't be enough. Patrick on the other hand, if I were another team, would ask myself what would I do with him? What could the Flyers get back for him? A 3rd? Who knows. I don't think that he gets moved.

to be fair, the rumors for both of those guys started elsewhere. neither one originated here.

Sanheim
- bmeltzer

Interesting. I would have thought some may go Myers due to size (not that sanheim is small) and right combo and due to having that air of uncertainty/potential. Not saying sanheim is totally finished cooking either, but he does seem a little farther along for better or worse. Is it close in your book or is it pretty definitive?

Yeah I’m just making conversation, not saying any of these constitute rumors or anything.

First we need to address your comment that it wasn't the question. You were wrong there, so why that response? This adversarial approach you have is not going to work for you. After that, then we can delve further into Myers issues and I'll explain to you what is going on with him. And we can clarify what was actually said. As you have a number of things wrong here.

Patrick won't get moved at the deadline. Maybe an offseason move but even so I highly doubt that would happen too.

I honestly don't know his value. I'm just waiting for the offensive side to click.

York is what makes Sanheim more palatable to move. That and we still have Ghost around until York is ready.

Probably Konecny and a pick.
- MJL

Now I know you are unraveling .. I think Konecny has played better for the Flyers, I would rather keep him and trade Myers, that stiff.

- ClaudeFather

What? You mean a version of Scott Laughton that can't skate, won't hit and can't score unless pucks bounce off his butt?

You need to read back. You're trying so hard that it's just making you look more and more foolish. The deal was one of Sanheim/Myers plus something else. That was the question.

that wasnt directed at you. the laughton situation has been discussed in multiple places. sean gentille for example, mentioned in his article yesterday that apparently the contract negotiations between the flyers and laughton "havent gotten anywhere" and there is a sense that several teams are interested.

the patrick thing was connected to an internet source that was linked earlier in this thread.

I like how he plays, I see him all over the ice - not in a bad way but 200 ft. player way. I'm with you, I'd like to see his offensive skills start to show.

I think earlier in the post someone questioned the shootout and why Patrick was out there. I believe that AV puts them out there based on how they look in practice and also on how the goaltenders rate them in practice. Or something like that. If that is the case Patrick must have some skills - he's just been unlucky I guess.

Yes, and it makes sense, the Flyers could always resign Laughton after the ED but in the meantime I think they can get a 2nd round pick for him.

Right, and you instead decided to trade Konecny and something else instead Sanheim or Myers .. hence my statement that you are unraveling for wanting to trade Konecny and hold on to your precious Myers. I like Konecny, his line with Giroux and Jake has been the best Flyers line for the past few weeks.

They could but you run the risk of a bidding war upping the ante. You probably lose any chance at a hometown discount also.

They are probably two of your most tradable assets that you could reasonably part with to be fair

Again, you need to read back. You are incorrect.
