He does. But I think that is unfair comparison. Kravs is older and more seasoned from the KHL competition. So IMO, I would expect him to be more NHL ready.
And his game looks so much more complete than he was before the couple seasons in the KHL. |

Seeing how effortless Kravs entry into the NHL has been really forced the issue a bit.
All comes down to what the return is, because he would be a great fourth liner. If they’re not trading him, they need to include Gauthier in their plans for a C.
Chytil is not cutting it for me as a C. So annoying to see Rooney come on for just a face off and then go back to the bench for Chytil to come on. Like that’s gonna work in the NHL... - Bean_Dip
I said it last night, Kakko plays more like a C than Chytil. That line is missing the connective fiber between Kakko and LAF. Because if Kakko or LAF is taking possession, Chytil has to have the awareness to cover all parts of the ice and get in a position to help or get open. On top of that, again like a broken record, faceoffs suck, corner work is not good, and easily removed from the puck.

it seemed like Kreider looked a little shaken up on the play that gave him a penalty shot
he didn't seem right on that, I know he isn't good on them anyway, but he looked off |

Kreider had one of his worst games of the season last night, imo. Some very uncharacteristic defensive lapses and not using his speed on the forecheck.
He’ll bounce back next game like he usually does after a clunker. |

I was away from the living room when that call happened and my wife yelled that there was a penalty shot. I asked her who and she said Kreider. I ran in while saying he sucks at those and isn't gonna score. I was unfortunately right. |

Agreed. Something was just off with almost every player. Even Panarin just looked confused and could not get the passing game going like he typically does.
I do not think it is out of the norm to think the vaccine shot played a role.
Either way. They lost and need to hopefully clear the cobwebs out of the brain for tonight.
I agree with Jan full-heartedly regarding the 4th line. I said it in another thread, if the Rangers intend to compete in the playoffs in the next year or two, then keep Rooney and Blackwell. They are needed for playoff series. I do not think it blocks Barron. There other trades to be made to make room. - NYRCeph
Been beatin that drum all year. We need a 4th line! |

this whole thing about being terrified of trading Rooney and Blackwell
we can develop our own 4th line
look at Ty Ronning, why can't he be the next Blackwell?
they should strike while the iron is hot on both Rooney and Blackwell, they've played well enough and are so cheap that there should be a contender with cap issues interested by Monday |

I'm not terrified, I think its dumb to trade them when we finally have a decent 4th line, unless its an incredible offer.
And the whole "we could develop one", we haven't had a competent 4th line since Torts. |

Funny thing was, a s bad as the score was, a couple of those posts, Zib and Chytils missed open nets, its either going to OT or they somehow win |

I think its an aberration that Rooney and Blackwell have been so effective
this is the time you trade guys like that IMO
