Prior to this season, his shooting % was less than 10% ( which is normal ), so I don't think its realistic going forward for him to maintain it. Just have to enjoy the career year while it lasts...

Does anything think that Kravtsov's solid play right out the gate might be greasing the phone lines a bit on moving Buch?

It makes zero sense to trade him before Monday. No contender is offering up an impact player during a playoff run. You are not trading him for picks and prospects. That is a summer move if it happens. Opens up more teams and when cap space is more available

I am sure teams looking to trade for him see that as well.

For a playoff team, its all about striking the iron while its hot. 26% is white hot.

Yes I do.

The only question I have is do we help Boston right now? A deal around Beecher and a 1st round pick might be beneficial to both teams.

I doubt the Rangers are gonna help a rival.

I agree, but they have an extensive trading history, so I think it MIGHT be possible. It really could be a beneficial trade to both clubs too.

Maybe I’m in the minority, but I hope this is the line up we play the next 16 games with.
Sorry to Gauthier (and TJ), but he’s not the first to be the odd man out.
Maybe our center depth isn’t what it could be, but we are pretty much as deep as you can be everywhere else. With more on the way on D, plus Barron.
I just really enjoy watching this line up ALREADY, and they can be so much better yet!

Apparently Stamkos is hurt ( again ) and if they put him on LTIR, they actually create enough cap space to make deals and take on contracts.

smh, remember when he was becoming a FA and we were all fawning over him coming to NY. Looks like we might have dodged a bullet.

Rangers will protect 3 defensemen, and right now its Trouba, Lindgren and Hajek because they actually have no one else that isnt exempt

Honestly I am not going to lose sleep over Blackwell, Rooney, Gauthier or Howden getting picked by Seattle. It’s not going to make a huge difference in the long run. Accept it and move on

This is the first year in a long time where I have no idea what the rangers will do at the deadline. Could they buy and sell? Honestly have no clue. Could also do nothing which would be odd as well.

Assuming Blackwell gets traded at the deadline, Rooney is the only one of the bunch I would ideally like to keep so he can play by Barron's side to show him the ropes.
