Similar to his goal against the devils, wrist shot top glove, just was more in the middle of the ice. I do not have video sorry

Nice thanks, I’ll find it eventually. Great to know he has it in his skill set. As he matures and learns the pro game he’ll put himself in position to use it far more often. Something I wish Kakko would show signs of, really my only knock of his game this season.

Laf is showing more and more each game. It was a hell of a snipe.

Kakko is showing a lot of strength in the O zone. I said this earlier, I think Kakko played better with Panarin and Strome than on the kid line.

Yea I saw no reason to take him off that line either. I get that Blackwell is scoring, but Kakko has earned those minutes IMO. Just wish he would shoot when he has the chance. Either his shot is weak or he isn’t confident with it right now. It’s surprising because so many of his Liiga goals were shots from the dot.

If we don't move anybody by Monday, I think Blackwell has played himself right into Seattle
- ELew11

Ehhh if I’m Seattle I probably still take ADA

If Blackwell is going to keep playing like this, we just protect him and Seattle can have Gauthier.

I think as long as hes playing with Panarin and Strome he will be a star. What they need is a true young center between LAF and Kakko.

Yeah, it was nice to see all the love and support for Quinn around here after the team came out and played such a complete game, on the road against a bitter rival, no less.

I mean, its really getting old

he is in year 3 of a 5 year contract

it's simply not bad enough to fire him and start all over with someone else

he's going to get a chance to coach his 4th year, it's such an absolute waste of breath to think he's going anywhere

Idk I must be in the minority about 2 things. 1 Blackwell is a great fit for this team and should stay here if he continues to produce. Guy is a glue guy who goes to the hard areas and sticks his nose in. Quinn has a done a fine job with this young team.

Blackwell is on the 4th line next year unfortunately. If that’s who Seattle takes it is what it is.

Again, if we dont move anyone at the deadline, Kravtsov's arrival eliminates any possibility of a future here for Gauthier.

So for the expansion draft, we can only protect one of

Gauthier
Howden
Rooney
Blackwell

We have to hope they take ADA, or "coerce" them into taking Howden

I'm not really worried very much about who is taken and if it's Blackwell so be it

we have Buchnevich, Kakko and Kravtsov on RW, next year is gonna be sick

We’re in a much better spot than most teams. If it’s Blackwell or ADA it is what it is.

Yes I am being greedy, I just love Rooney and Blackwell as 4th line guys. I guess we should be thankful this expansion draft isn't a year or two from now, or we would have much bigger issues

Ideally we trade Blackwell for a 2nd, protect Gauthier and Seattle takes ADA.

Personally Id rather protect Rooney. Gauthier isnt a 4th liner, we need grit and grinders, not a skill player on the 4th line.

if that happens then I see Chytil moving to wing

I'd be really surprised if they traded both Buch and Chytil

I also wonder if there are talks about signing Lauri Pajuniemi and bringing him over
