Not to you UIF. Just used your post.
Seriously guys a fluke goal is not his fault.
Seriously then who’s fault is it? That’s on him there’s no way you can twist that if it hit a d man in front of him or double deflected yeah not his fault. This was a shot he totally whiffed on. That said he regrouped and played great the rest of the way which was awesome to see. Tough mentally and didn’t let it get to him. As I posted he was tremendous in the SO once again.
That’s almost as good a Barzal’s turn overs are his line mates fault.
Comical really.

The reason why this post has zero substance is because we all know if that were varlamov you would be calling it a fluke goal

We are losing Bailey Eberle or Mayfield in expansion. With all the anger and hatred for bailey among the fan base I am sure everyone wants Seattle to take him. Its truly sad that we are waiting for expansion just to clear cap space

The same can be said for over 2/3rds of the league.

I’ll also add which I bought up last night that pulling wahlstrom’s shot off the powerplay is to me I’ll advised.

We'll see what happens tonight and moving forward I guess. Obviously everyone should (and does) have full faith in Trotz and if it's only for a game or two or three while Palmieri and Zajac get acclimated then that's OK...but I don't see Komarov as a top-line winger being a feasible long-term option

Also said last night and I’m praying that as ridiculous as it sounds maybe they’re kind of showcasing him so they can dump his salary if lameriello has another trade up his sleeve. That’s all I got because all of this other crap getting thrown on here today as far as reasoning for benching Wahlstrom makes zero sense to me but what do I know bellows not playing also makes no sense as far as I’m concerned.

I'm pretty sure you are aware there's a difference between a bad goal and a fluke one when assessing the ol' 'that was a softy' narration. To me 99% of saves that go off a butt end like that are lucky and the same can be said for a puck that hits it and goes in. It was an unlucky bounce. Nothing more, nothing less. It happens to them all sometimes.
- keaner17

The fact is that shot was a harmless wrist shot a couple feet inside the blue line that required a routine save and instead he goes to save it with his blocker and instead hits his shoulder and goes in off the butt end of his stick. Butch and Brenden couldn’t believe it went in and the Flyers announcers were equally shocked.
We will agree to disagree on this.
The fact he didn’t let it get to his head and played a great game afterwards showed me a lot. That’s key to be able to shrug those off. He would say he wants that one back 100% in my opinion.

I doubt they do either.

Frankly, I have no issue with Wahlstrom getting a break. A little rest is never a bad thing when rookies are concerned.

Totally agree with that. As great as Pulock is on d and every other aspect of his game he just can’t or refuses to shoot the one timer on the PP. Wahlstrom rips that thing no matter where the pass is coming from or location in terms of his wheelhouse.
I like him out there with Leddy feeding him the puck.

They have to be showcasing him. I like komarov on the Pk and to take faceoffs and to add toughness. Not a fixture on the top line.

Agree Schwein, might be banged up a bit and he hasn’t produced in his last few games. Nothing wrong with giving the kid a break.

Maybe, I'm wrong...but I don't really see too many teams taking players with more seasons than just this one on their contract. The teams that have cap space probably have little-to-no use for a player like Komarov and the teams that might like him as a bottom-six pickup for the playoffs don't want to (or just flat-out can't ) have to pay him next year.

If the KHL rumors have any merit to them, it's going to be even harder to find a team to trade him to.

It’s gotten to the point with me as far as Pulock is concerned where I would rather him skate in from the point with the puck in tight below the dots to get it to the net which he is so good at. That’s where to me at least he is much more effective on the pp. I would rather that then sit there uselessly waiting for the puck that he’s going to shoot wide anyway if he even gets the shot off.

I’m not buying the whole showcasing angle. Leo’s been in the league, GMs know what he is and what you get. 10 games on Barzals line isn’t going to convince anyone that Leo is anything different than a responsible defensive player. He’s not going to wow you with offensive talent but he will be hard on the forecheck and make the simple smart hockey play.
I too think Leo has played well the last couple games on that line and has set up a couple beautiful goals.

Ladies please begin!

Not sure if it was garbage or not but there was some talk that Komarov intended to play in the KHL next year.

He's a serviceable 4th line kinda player. I'd be fine with him in that role because he's also a good pk guy. The problem is his shortcomings as a scoring line player will be magnified as the competition ramps up.

He a premiere talent in all 3 zones. Love his game but I think he wants to shoot that 105 mph slapshot every time instead of getting it through and on the net. He 100 % has faked the shot and went to the net which I agree he does incredibly well. He just can’t finish this year. A bit snake but and gripping the stick a bit. He gets #1 I think they start coming easier for him.

I agree but I don’t think he should be deployed as the ovechkin clone anymore. It doesn’t work. Try something else. I can’t stand us doing the same thing repeatedly on our languishing powerplay expecting a different result.

Yup he is what he is. Plays well on the PK for sure.
I’m not saying Leo is the answer to Lee’s absence at all. I think Barry wanted to keep the line’s together for the most part with players that play together typically and it hasn’t failed. He has actually done his job and fir me more. That said with the trade Lou made he has had 0 practice time to feel out the new guys so I think you will see things shuffled once they play a few games, get used to the system and have some practice under their belts.
Just my opinion.
