Call me crazy but I'm interested to see the stats from this pandemic when it's all over. You know the stats that come out down the road that are like "covid-related injuries or covid-related deaths" such as this vaccine blood clot death.
There's a number of people who sadly passed away during the start of the pandemic because they were too afraid to goto the hospital with some type of symptom.

or dying from a blood clot - dmnted
Or getting hit by a bus. Have you seen the number? Completely comparable to the number of people likely to get a blood clot taking the vaccine. Also completely comparable to the number of people not taking the vaccine.

I heard about a guy who got hit by a bus, and it caused him to develop blood clots.
So according to Health Canada, AZ is 76% effective after first dose and 81% after second. With ICUs filling up, it’s important to get people vaccinated fast. Waiting any significant length of time for Pfizer or Moderna is crazy - Canada Cup
Not against all strains (the 81%)
It is quite stupid though to compare the efficacy rates - since trials are not done head to head, but different times and countries. It's comparing apples and oranges.
Best to get any vaccine - 1 shot for all should do.
Covid is relatively easy to develop a vaccine against - it's a 'low hanging fruit disease'.
Only thing , personally I still prefer j&j, sputnik and novavax since based on more traditional and proven platforms.

Efficacy rates are the most significant metrics used by pharmaceutical companies to get their drug/vaccines approved for use. The clinical trials used are by no means perfect but to say this metric is stupid is over the top.

I’m afraid to ask but, was that a good goal 5 hole last night or was it terrible tending? - Garnie
Bump from last thread.
It was a good goal.
If you watch it in slow motion, Perry does just a little twitch that made Campbell react and then just as he tried to reset into position, Perry slides it under his pad.

If anything, it was a marvel of a goal by Perry.
(frank)ing love him in Montreal.

Perry is excellent, I wanted the Leafs to grab him. Excellent move by Bergevin. Proven playoff player that is a goal scorer and one of the best sh!t disturbers in the NHL.

That’s the point, Max. Get a shot of any of the three. Who (frank)ing cared about the difference in trial methods.
Cool that the Argentinian President thought the Sputnik was a good vaccine too, right Max. Until he tested positive.

There’s a cool little low budget movie about Bowie doing an American PR tour on I think Amazon Prime - Canada Cup
Not sure what tour you are referring to, he did do a promo tour of the Glass Spider Tour - played four songs at the Diamond Club in 1987, the only other tour that was under the radar was when he played keyboards and sang backup vocals for Iggy Pop in 1977 at Senaca.

I remember in the off season I had Dubas signing Perry, Simmonds and Bogosian as UFA's. I was surprised he went with Thornton over Perry. I thought he'd be a better fit for the Leafs. Especially for the playoffs. Maybe Perry didn't want to be a Leaf?
I used to hate Perry in those Wings/Ducks playoff series'. But I would've taken him on my team in a heartbeat. He's not the player he once was but he can still be effective in a playoff series. I thought he did his job for Dallas. I think he'll play a more prominent role for the Habs come playoff time.

It wasn’t a performance tour, just a series of interviews in ‘71 or so to promote The Man Who Sold The World. It wasn’t really a very good movie. I just found it interesting because of the links between his personal, family life and that album that only came out very slowly.

I got it, but I like to live on the edge. - shack67
56, I am getting it.
Wish I could get Pfizer or Moderna instead but my priority was to get a vaccine as quickly as possible. I expect the border to start opening this summer, and I think travellers are going to have to show some proof of vaccine?
Agreed. Most goals are stoppable, some goalies stop more than others, ALL goalies let in softies and have slumps.
And for the record, I'm probably harsher with criticism when it comes to goalies...definitely gets me more pissed off. It's PTGD (post traumatic goalie disorder) from Toskala and the Monster.
I've retired from the soft goal debates and name calling on these boards. No dead horse memes for me!
Edit: the "Freddy wives" thing was the last time, I swear. - Barb34
It’s all good, I’ve been called numerous things on these boards, most true.🤷🏻♂️
Still think Dead Fred can goal, hope to see him wearing a Canes jersey next year
