I dont get you Brodie has been everything the team has needed..for a parnter for Rielly. Rielly cant defend at all...just terrible..Brodie is like on another planet.

Brodie has been better than I thought he would be, but I much prefer Rielly over him.
Bote are weak defensively - look at Brodie's bad positioning (in particular on the PK). Brodie is very good leaving the d-zone, good patience and i think not as much giveaways and Calgary fans indicated he would give Up.
But you need a few d that can actually box out a guy, be hard in 1v1 puck battles and Brodie isnt bringing that. He does defend really well with hIs stick by the way.
I guess if hockey were a non-contact Sport, Brodie would be a Norris candidate every year

Leafs arent trading for a 1b goalie - cost too much or a 3rd string goalie- why waste assets on someone to sit on the bench the whole time.
