Quick question:
Why is nobody talking about the fact that we dumped Carter Verhaeghe for nothing?
He's now 28th in the league in scoring - same number of points as Ovi.
Terrible management of assets. |

Here's a franking tragedy:

I set up the 2015-16 Leafs Prediction Thread one franking day after he was traded.
It would have been funny to see absolutely everyone (including me) say this guy was never going to be an NHLer. |

Florida signed him this year: 2 years X $1M.
Damn, that's good value. |

You over-rate that trade.

You win some you lose some with those late bloomers.
Campbell and Holl are currently our versions. |

And with the 3rd round pick we sent them, the Kings selected Alex Laferriere, and Cliff Fletcher couldn't believe that the Kings got the #1 rated prospect so late in the draft. |

I'm happy for him (always like to see Toronto kids pan out).

If you look at his stats, it's a nice progression - just kept getting better at every level. |

Agreed. Can't say I've seen a second of FLA hockey this year but I assume he's receiving a huge push from playing with Barkov - possibly the most underrated player in the NHL. |

I like the idea of one stop shopping....
Wedgewood + Murray
Savard + Foligno + Korpisalo
Hall + Ullmark
Kylington + Bennett + Rittich - mr.sir
Ullmark is the only goalie in there who offers you any type of insurance. His numbers are not that dissimilar to Hutchinson's. I don't love Hutch, but he's better than Rittich and Wedgewood. Korpisalo is inconsistent. If he finds consistency in his game, he could be good - but it's never been there for long enough stretches, including often 60 minute games (10 bell saves one minute, bad goals the next). He reminds me of Dubnyk before he found his focus. He may not be the answer, but at the right price, I'd take a chance on Korpisalo paired with Campbell next year. |
