Rags had 24 shots. Felt like 20 of them were grade A.

Definitely, and Tuesday it felt like they got every bounce imaginable.

I'm guessing Burkie had himself a little chubby watching big Z play tonight.

Honestly not sure what the price would be on Getzlaf. He is having a worse season than Palmeri is from a stats perspective... so its hard for me to say he is worth a first. to be honest, it's hard for me to say he is even worth a 2nd.

I personally think he just makes too much sense for this team. Im sure Burke would love to get him. I personally would like him because he could complete the top line on the guys the Penguins traded for during the Crosby era.

Hossa-Getzlaf-Iginla is a hell of a line.

But he should. The individual scoring plays by him aren't fluky. He is talented and can play at this level. He likely won't be a top 6 guy, but his ability is showing in a bottom 6 role with guys we routinely harp on.

It was a play on the 'E' and the trade Malkin crowd.

He was so much more fluid with his skating tonight.

So interesting thing I thought of. Maybe I'm looking at it too deeply, but I just don't see how they can move McCann back to wing and Blueger has been practicing at wing in practice. I wonder if we're going to see a Blueger-McCann-??? third line.

In his limited sample he seems to have good vision and a pretty decent skill level. I would like to see him on a line with McCann and someone a little more skilled to see how he does. I do think he has some potential. He could be a lil bit meaner though.

As long as he effectively uses his size to shield the puck, win puck battles and get to the net the way he does I could care less if he has any snarl.

It would be nice if he had some snarl, as it seems this team is destined now to acquire some, so that Burke doesn’t have to prioritize just that and can find someone who fits the skilled and snarl mold. Buy him some time if the ideal trade doesn’t come much like some depth players have alleviated some decisions they need to make.

I mean if they are gonna go Gaudreau as the 4c and we dont make a move, Canner has to go back with Geno and Kap, right?

Yea that doesn't matter to me either. He uses his size well offensively, by shielding the puck and makes long power moves.

Did Z play Center in the A?
- Thorny87

Yes, that was his main position. I think he can play all 3 forward spots.

Some good old 1980's hockey played in New York the last two games. Pond hockey mixed in with a little bit of defense. Last night they made us look like the '84 Oilers and Tuesday we looked like the '86 Oilers. (Look up Steve Smith)
.
Quinn couldn't have been happy with the Rangers effort. They gave us a ton of room to make plays. As Sullivan likes to say 'high event hockey.'

The best thing that I liked was the killer attitude, Pens didn't sit on the lead. The Rangers had some push back after the fight and in the third they were okay trading chances with us, but wow, they were absolutely letting us fly.

I also liked Lafferty's fight.
