See how it works is, the team with the most skill wins the skills competition.
- jd250

Yeas, they scored once so therefore they have more skill. What an absurd statement.

He was about 15 goals 35 points pace in each season. Disappointing given his projections, but not off the chart disappointing.
- PT21

What does pace mean ? You either stay healthy or you don’t. Can’t produce from the press box. He’s a 30 point player who gets a ton of PP time as the second over all pick. I don’t know about off the chart disappointment.....but it still would go down as one of the worst draft picks in Flyers history, unless something changes.

Losing ground on a team playing with their 4th goaltender. What a pathetic Organization this is

Yes, Islanders 1-5, Flyers 0-5. Islanders had slightly more skill in the shootout and therefore won.

I’m unhappy with officiating rules that encourage embellishment. The calls against Sam in recent games are very poor. Similar plays happen all the time without being called and when called with a game misconduct, that it just terrible bias. There are many other big, tall and strong guys on other teams that are not targets for poor calls by the refs.

What do you think? If he was signed to 3 mil+ deal, I might have been tempted to cut ties. But keeping him is gonna cost you a mil, that's it. So...
- PT21

Even with how poopty he’s been...you just don’t give up....not yet...but as I alluded to before, next year will be a big year for him....does it finally click ? (frank) I hope so.

I only saw the replay. It's definitely a penalty but I question it being a major. There was hit on Sanheim in the 3rd period that absolutely was boarding but no call. That may have been worse.

I really don’t see any rentals that make any sense at this point anyways. If there’s a deal that makes sense going forward...fine. Other wise he’s waited to long to do anything that might have helped change the course this year...

Think about it:
The flyers get to practice shootouts on their own goalies.
The flyers goalies get to face their teams shooters.
Draw your own conclusions.

I think AV is starting to lose his Sh*t! Fair to say he is tired of losing and answering the same questions. Snapped back more than I have seen him tonight.

Ahh .. The Islanders have more skill than the Flyers, I hate to break it to you. The Flyers played a good game tonight, but when they got another PP in the 3rd, "Poop .. Poop rained down from the ceiling ... Poop!" When the Islanders had their 5th chance on the shootout, they converted with a great shot. The Flyers responded with a weak shot into the goalies pads. This is the reality, just face it! The Flyers have no snipers, and it kills them.

Here is a question for you. Farabee has clearly been struggling offensively. They showed him frustrated on the bench a couple of times, with Voracek talking to him. Voracek has been hot offensively. So why choose Farabee in the shoot out over Voracek with the game on the line after the Isles scored?

Yes, both were minor penalties, very similar. Yet one was given a major plus Morin was ejected from the game. Flyers having to play a defenseman short for the game. However, no call on the other board to Sanheim.

The only difference was the Islander player laid on the ice to stop play yet returned to play the rest of the game.

I hate to break it to you but no they don't. Your statement that the Isles won the shootout because they are the more skilled team is poorly thought out.

I was thinking the same thing, I would have had Voracek trying before Patrick or Farabee. As it turned out, Sorokin made some nice saves, but no one was going high on him, he guards the bottom of the net and his 5 hole extremely well, so I would be going high on him, but no one tried other than Giroux.

You can disagree, but its not poorly thought out. I have been consistent on this point all season, so its not a knee jerk reaction, its what I think. BTW, What is the deal with AV and Carter Hart. I thought Hart played a good game tonight and AV pretty much refused to give the kid any credit, not sure I agree with his approach with Hart.
