So you didn't like the 2nd period when the Flyers outscored the Bruins 2-0 and outshot them 25-7? That's not the way to go?

No offense guys...but its pointless to argue this. They had one superior period. And then sucked again in the third. I'd say they were inconsistent but that's not true. They've been consistently bad. You cannot win if you are always chasing the game.

The cherry on top of this turd of yet another turd year is going to be when Seattle takes Oskar.

And for the record, I still want Ekholm, he would be a HUGE upgrade over every defenseman we have playing for us right now. But Nashville is not selling, so Fletcher is going to hopefully sell what he can at the deadline and then work a big shakeup in the off-season. At least that what I hope he does.

Bro, I love the optimism but the Flyers are not making the playoffs. They don't deserve to. They were awful for an entire month. They played a dominant 2nd period. Then come out flat in the 3rd in a game that has huge ramifications in the standings and for a playoff push. They had nothing in the 3rd period.

Had their chances all night. Laughton had 3 alone. Konecny had a wide open net...misses the pass,....15 seconds later it’s 3-2.
The Flyers are going to have to get Hart right. In a game like that you need your goalie to make a big save...it wasn’t there again.
I still don’t get Nolan Patrick on the PP....it’s pathetic at this point. Sure he’s talented, but has no desire to engage. He’s not good enough to play on the perimeter.
Myers needs work...he’s handling the puck like a grenade....it’s just been a disappointing year for a lot of the Flyers younger guys. I’m for some changes for sure but they need to get some of these kids turned around.

I don't know where to put the blame on this team. I mean they can play well enough to have a great second period, but totally nose dive thereafter.
The power play is the worst that I can remember.
The penalty kill is slightly worse than terrible.
I thought that the Hextall/Hakstol years were to build through the draft and be a young great team. Fast forward a few years - this team has serious issues.

I liked the 2nd period, but I knew that when you dominate a period like that and don't put the game away it comes back to haunt you. I also know this team and thus knew there was little chance the Flyers could do it again in the 3rd, because they haven't done it all year and I figured the Bruins would push back. They Bruins actually didn't push back that much, they just berried the one chance they had.

You have to follow through. I wouldn't expect them to come out and dominate again in the 3rd and I would expect the Bruins to be better but there was no push by the Flyers in the 3rd. Bruins played last night also. After how the 2nd went, the Bruins should've been the worn down team. Have to find a way to dig deep and seize the game. Clichés I know but it's the truth.

No, I'm not that smart. You never said in any post that I read that you didn't want the Flyers to trade for Ekholm because you felt the Flyers were not good enough. Instead your argument was that Ekholm was not that good and wouldn't move the needle. I think Ekholm is very good and would be a step in the right direction, but I also posted by itself would not be enough to push this team over the top.

I don’t get how linesman makes the call when it’s dead wrong....at least ask the other 3 guys. Then if no one saw clearly..ok....but to make the call by your self and be 100% wrong shouldn’t happen...that’s why there’s 4 (frank)ing guys out there.

It's common sense. I told you over and over it wouldn't make a difference. What do you think that is based on? Why wouldn't he move the needle? Because the team is not good enough. It's not hard to figure out. You were going on and on of how they had to make a move, blah blah blah. Now you're coming at me asking if I finally agree with you that they suck.
