At the end of the day, if you don't like it, don't buy it.

With my first pay cheque from my first career-track job, I went down to MLG and bought a Dougie jersey (with an A - he wasn't captain yet).

I've received a few more Leafs jerseys over the years, but I've never paid a dime for another one. My Dougie will always be special, and I like wearing it to games, because it proves I'm a long-suffering Leafs fan.

I won't buy another jersey, but if you want to get the latest, go for it.

And before you think I'm some sort of Leafs crap snob, I swear to goodness, these arrived in the mail for me today:

I paid waaaaaaay to franking much for them, but considering I haven't given MLSEL a dime for tickets, beer or popcorn in over a calendar year, let's just say I still have a lot of money on the table.

- Atomic Wedgie

Wedgie, I’d never accuse you of being a snob but having bad taste in clothes in a not valid defence against being a snob. Ask any Brit

Do the math. 10 seconds each, there’s 6,000 in a legion. He’s dead in 15 minutes

I’ve been many times...great city, downtown. No roaring 20’s vibe though, at last not for me.
- Woderwick

I'm sure if you've been there, it's a different vibe entirely. But the historical vibe contained in this sort of image:

That is very Art Deco; I think that's the historical feel they wrap around Chicago.

Why you gotta be so mean?

We can't all go around being the life of the party covered in toilet seats and talking about the good old days.

For what it's worth, that would be called nostalgia, also an appropriate thing for a funeral.

Do you dress up like Santa at the games prior to Christmas? If so, I’ve seen you. Sorry about that big beer I accidentally spilled on you...twice.

No, but I've often thought of buying a blue santa suit and wearing it to a Leafs game.

That would be cool.

And why the hell would you purposely spill beer at a Leafs game?

Look at you, Scrooge McDuck.

I have a Blue Plush "Santa Style" Maple Leafs hat with a full Santa mustache and beard that you can tuck up into it or roll it down that someone bought me as a gag gift one year for Christmas.

I've worn that sucker to 2 outdoor games and it kept my face toasty warm!

Like this but Leafs

Kinda like a big girl that hangs out with a bigger girl to look thinner....those pants are hanging out with those shoes on purpose Wedgie. Hope you didn't get those too. Those shoes are the real crime!

Dubas to Lebrun today we expect “our three goalies between roster and taxi squad to be Freddie Andersen, Jack Campbell and Michael Hutchinson.”

He also made it clear he’s happy with the state of the team. He likes the way they’ve climbed out of their slump. He’s looking to make improvements but doesn’t feel there are holes he has to fill. He mentioned the job Gally has done but made it clear that while the void had been filled, you could always upgrade.

He seems to be trying to lower expectations for fans and making it clear he’s not going to be pushed into a panic trade.

Dubas has also lied multiple times during his GM stint. This is not a stain (or criticism) on his stewardship of the team but rather an observation that he is under no obligation to tip his hand to the media and/or the fans leading up to the TDL.

Having said that, if he's unable to make any moves he can point to this interview and say, "I said I liked the team." If he does make moves, he can say, "the opportunity to improve manifested itself".

Geeeeeeenius!

It’s not lying when he’s agreeing with me!

He’s got a team that is a legitimate contender. They’re favourites to win the division, remember? Does he think they’re good enough to beat the Av’s or that winning the division is enough? If not, he’s got to upgrade and pointing to this interview when he doesn’t act won’t do him any good.

There’s no GM that can’t make moves. Dubas will trade
