I'm oddly OK with handing the net to Campbell next year.
Reading the Athletic article on him, he was drafted 11th overall. He hit some turbulence along the way, but hey, here's here and he looks like he can be an NHL starter.
We need to save money somewhere. We are going to have to take a leap of faith or two. - Atomic Wedgie
Ya, when I think of the Leafs present and future needs a young, currently inexpensive goalie to tandem with JC (then take over) would be near the top. It'd create so much flexibility with the Cap going forward and would it really come with that much more risk then any of the other realistic options? |

Cap issues likely mean we can't carry 3 'tenders once Freddy is back in the picture. I think they need another #3 but he'll have to pass through waivers to make it to the taxi squad. Might be stuck with Hutch and VV unless Freddy can go on LTIR.
That assumes they plan on adding a fwd or another piece as well.
They'll have some Cap wrinkles adding a fwd too. In Pridham we trust. - The Law
Hutch would be going the other way in any deal where we acquire a goaltender and money retained can help w/ cap issues. |

Your wife has an underlying medical condition, no?
My wife is a teacher, so I am hoping this month. Some teachers at her school have got it already. Some have not. One teacher inquired and was told she was not on the list. - Aetherial
Lots of pressure to prioritize the teachers (and essential workers). I think they may go that route especially in the GTA. |

She had breast cancer. Please note the past tense!!!
She takes drugs which are considered "targeted therapy" - one of the exceptions that get you on the list sooner. |

We do have till the summer to decide. If Freddie is healthy I don’t want to bring somebody else in and force a decision. If Campbell absolutely proves himself through the playoffs, then adding a young goalie is a possibility but I set a high bar.
But I’m ok with moving lots of $ out the door this summer - Freddie, Rielly and Kerfoot for a goalie, to restructure the D (with Sandin/Lilly/adds) Hyman, etc. |

Hutch and VV are currently on the taxi squad and are only up as emergency call ups. No cap savings and the new guy would need to go through waivers unless you're prepared to carry 3 goalies (which would mean you'd have to move money somewhere else) - like Kerfoot. |

Yeah - talking about our goalie plans right now is a waste of time.
Those decisions will be made based upon the post-season, not the regular season. |

Halton has started booking 60-55 Pfizer-Moderna after just 3 days at the 65-60. Things are moving quickly. We will reach the 75% of country immunized before most of Europe. Going the 4 month delay between shots was the right move. - Canada Cup
for me, it's kinda long to go between shots. I understand it's better than not having any at all.

Interesting.
And by that I mean: What the (frank) is expected talent adjusted goals for?!? - Scabeh
without looking it up..i assume something to do with the players specific shooting talent...what/when they usually score from similar shot locations. Historically

70-80% efficacy in 11 million Ontarians vs. 90% efficacy in 5.5 million Ontarians.
My summer plans (friends, family, bbq, beers, outdoors) prefer the current method.
Also 4 months is the outside number. We'll be second dosing in June and done by early/mid August. |

Only question is whether Ford can live up to his 1 million per week here. We have the doses/deliveries of Phizer/Moderna to be done by first week of June. Add in some J&J and some AZ for those willing to use it and it's all down to the Province.
I'm a supporter of the 'get it into the teachers vaccinated' movement. Need these kids in school. We could have them all vaccinated in a weekend. - The Law

I agree, the more people with at least 1 of the 2 required doses is a better option going forward.. The in-laws got their first dose of the Pfizer vaccine in late March, second dose is scheduled for mid July. Which is a little less than 4 months |

Honest to goodness, it was even worse than that.
I initially registered my parents. Entered all their information.
I get an email saying they are registered, they will contact me when we can actually book an appointment. OK, great. They even got "a unique identification number."
Two days later, I get an email - congrats, you can book an appointment!
Great.
No way to use the unique identifier. I have to enter all their personal info again.
I do my mom's appointment first. No problems. I get a big green checkmark that everything has gone through OK.
Then I do my dad. Big green checkmark. Two minutes later, a confirmation email, complete with instructions and a .pdf waiver form.
But no email for my mom.
I try calling them. Ha ha ha ha ha! I end up driving up to Sunnybrook, and asking a woman wearing scrubs and maintaining the line. She says don't worry, bring my mom in.
I go back and look at the .pdfs. I can't type in the info. I can't use the unique identifier to populate the fields. I have to print it out, and fill it out by hand - and I have the handwriting of a six-year-old with a broken crayon.
I fill it out.
Get to the hospital. As I said, they checked on the computer - yep, my parents are both in the system for 9:40 am.
We then walk 10 yards to another desk, where we hand the waiver forms, and they franking start entering in the info again - by hand.
And then here's the best part - we finally get to the actual booth where they are administering the needle, and the person who's job it is to inject the vaccine has to go through all of the contact info again, because of course there are errors. I asked him if errors were a regular occurrence, and he rolled his eyes and said, "every one."
We are wasting the extraordinarily valuable time of the needle jabbers because they have to check the personal info of patients - personal info that I gave them twice electronically, and is literally sitting on a computer 30 yards away.
Can you tell I'm still angry about this? - Atomic Wedgie
Semi annual medical procedure for my pops, each person at each stage asks the same questions. He answers the same set of questions 4 times. They start with...”what is your name?” In this case I get it though, he’s 87 and they want to make sure he is fit for the procedure. Not stressed, anxious or worse, but it is still annoying as heck. He’s hard of hearing and says “eh” about 20 times in a sentence. |
