Can’t believe how bad that PP is. They’re in their own heads.

I think it was O'neill on the weekend who said they seem to have forgotten that they have to play hockey on the powerplay. They are too busy trying to make sure they are in the right place and making the right play.

Aight, just finished the 3rd period on NHL Highlights (man are we lucky to have Gord/Ray).

Hutch was actually solid tonight.

That 2nd goal was a hot shot in a perfect spot that he'd like to have back, but other than that, you can't complain about Hutch really at all this year.

Guy has way more starts than he should.

From the last few attempts it appears they are trying to pass it into the net. It doesn't have to be pretty and (frank) the harlem globetrotter sh!t. Sqeeze a shot at the net, its much better than the passes to guys in the corner. Goals like the Hanafin goal hurt just as much if not more than the tic tac toe beauties. Shoot the (frank)en puck!

Yep, I hated the second goal. Not a good one at all, but he played well the rest of the game surprisingly

I do wonder however if the leafs do end up getting a goalie at the deadline.

So terrible. The only guys who applied any pressure on the CGY side were Dube and Mangapanga.

Similar to WPG - third line was the best on the team. Supposed star players were invisible

Lots of games left, but ...Leafs have 6 left against Habs so if they so if they win most of those there's a good chance they meet up in round 1. Yes please.

Yup, and it's been like that every time we've played them. Tkachuk looks lost/disinterested but those two guys are doing nothing and look like they have nothing to give.

We have a pretty tough sked for the rest of the season:

6 against Montreal

4 against Winnipeg

4 against Vancouver - or maybe not

2 against Calgary

2 against Ottawa

even if they go 10-8, they end up with 73 points

Lebrun says they are confident that Freddie will be back and ok and will only make a move if the situation changes.

Friedman says Dubas has a deal for a top six guy in his back pocket but is waiting for clarity on the goalie situation or maybe a better deal.

The way Willie and JT are playing, adding a sniper would make that line lethal.

Poulin has a good point. He said one year with the flyers they didn’t even practice the powerplay. They didn’t know what they were doing so the opposing team didn’t know what they were doing.

Leafs have to much talent on the powerplay for it to suck this bad. They probably better off free wheeling it and letting their natural abilities take over.

Poulin has continued to make a career out of not knowing what he’s doing

True, but the powerplay hasn’t scored in 11 games.

At this point there is no bad ideas.
