Boston sucks and Buffalo NJ NYR and PHI are bottom feeders. - Feds91Stammer
Boston doesn't suck and neither do the NYI. The Pens have also had success against the Caps this season when they weren't even playing well.

PDO won't always regress to 100 because that implies all players and goalies are equal. A lot of star players have a career 101 PDO. I think Washington always defies PDO.
The 104 PDO for the Pens this past month was I believe what started this. That's unsustainable. A lot of players are hot shooting and the goal-tending probably isn't quite this good.
But that PDO is measuring the Pens current line-up. They'll get re-enforcements by hopefully getting healthier. Even still, a 104 is too high.
Honestly it's hard to measure where the Pens are at except in their division. They look like a contender there. |

It doesn't imply that all players and goalies are equal at all, and of course, many players are above or below 100. |

Feds is binary. Teams/players are either elite or they suck. There's no such thing as a solid team/player that's beatable but a tough out. |

Correct. Definitely don’t want to be a non binary (frank)o. |

Peanut butter is a term used in finance to describe numbers used because there was insufficient data, time or knowledge to do something that was actually accurate or purposefully thought out.
I cringe if I have someone tell me they Peanut butter something. - MacPatty

Gaudreau and Angello reassigned to taxi squad. Getting bodies back: good. Jankowski in the lineup: bad. |

Jankowski had an OK game for once, but definitely doesn't deserve a spot over Angello or Gaudreau. |

A buddy of mine proposed an interesting 1 for 1 deal. Zucker for Nick Foligno. His discussion was that Burke wants a tougher player to play with the stars and Foligno should get a decrease in pay following this season. I do agree with him that Zucker may make a good trade candidate. He chose Foligno or Hoffman as his potential 1-1 options. He choose Foligno since he plays a more gritty "long pants" hockey style. |

I'm confused. I would think Sullying would be a good think. Best damn coach in the NHL.
As for peanut butter, I dig it in a good stir fry sauce or perhaps in a chocolate desert but other than that, like PDO, it is overrated. |

Zucker is a pretty gritty player, I don't think he is a guy you need to trade to get tougher. I agree though he could be a valuable trade chip. I think you are undervaluing him here.
I'd love to get Hoffman but not at the cost of a Zucker 1:1.
Would also be interested in Foligno but Zucker is a way better player. The guy in Columbus I'd be targeting is Laine (yes, I'm a broken record on this). Zucker & Poulin plus would be fine with me. The most obvious thing in the world was that Laine and Torts were not going to be a good match. Sully would get him back to 30-40 goal Laine in a hurry. |

Why would you downgrade from Zucker? - Feds91Stammer
His theory was based upon saving 5.5 million after the season where cap is becoming the most value piece. So Foligno is a FA after the season and Zucker has 3 years left at 5.5 million. Foligno would be dropping his cap hit unless he excelled next to Malkin. I believe Foligno would be someone we may be interested in. I do agree that CBJ would need to add in a trade if Zucker was going the other way. Some GMs just over value grit. Personally I would do a 1-1 for Tartar so you can buy a Tartar Penguins Jersey |
