Haven’t watched this in years, but all the hate in here lately, and the sheer amount of stupidity is kinda getting me in the mood...

Is that the movie that begins with him stuck in an LA traffic jam?

I recall some teams having a couple dudes out and a couple games cancelled, but this seems next level.

I think Dallas, NJ and Buffalo all had significant numbers of players right at the start of the season.

This is definitely bad. Seems that the NHL’s systems need a bit of tweaking. Gaudette was tested Monday, practiced Tuesday, they got the results back midway through the practice. That’s not good.

huh.
i thought they got tested daily?

Seems like it's going to take its toll on the body.
Can't imagine Gaudette is going to be 100% anytime soon...

No but it fits in with the way this team is managed.

I’m not sure if they get tested every day or not, but that results don’t come until the next day, AND that they don’t wait until they get results to continue with their scheduled activities is an issue - clearly - as they are now up to 20 or so cases.

Hell it's just over two hours from Moncton to Halifax.

A traffic jam here is waiting 4 cars to get into the roundabout.

I was going to say the same. I think the longest time I’ve waited in traffic is 15 minutes crossing one of the bridges from Dartmouth to Halifax.

Yeah, they shut them down a bit the last couple of years for a retrofit in order to allow larger ships to pass under them. Even then 15 minutes is a stretch.

That happened to me! Went back to see my dad when he was sick. Landed at the airport, rented a car, and made my way to Halifax. There were all these signs saying the bridges were closed. I couldn’t rationalize it and just kept going only to discover that yes indeed the bridges were closed.

Living there for 27 years and that never had happened. Had to drive around through Bedford. By the time I got to dad’s I was fuming. A few rum and coke’s later and I had calmed down.

All true. The entire team is being considered infected with 18 and counting on the list.

But what the the continued nativity of Vintage is leaving out is that this is more than just Covid-19. The Canucks have the worst known Variant P1 from Brazil. None of the NHL teams have been afflicted with this to date.

The protocols aren't designed to mitigate this more infectious and harder hitting P1.This is why full bubble discussions are taking place. Vaccinated or not the danger remains on P1.

Neither. Appleton’s or Mount Gay.
I know, the name is terrible, but the rum is sooo good.

Edit: screech is an abomination.

Lol you conclude the strangest things . Here's a dose of reality that perhaps you can absorb this time.

We don't have the data as to know the efficacy of current vaccine on P1. But prognostications of less amenable and re-infection are being used. They might have to tweak a vaccine for it and treat P1 like early days of Covid outbreak in the meantime.

We'll see how it unfolds. It's a lot of unknowns which you find that part hard to grasp.

Here's another factor, Brazil mostly used the Russian Vaccine that was earlier available to them. Seems that it did little to stop the spread and they are up to nearly 4K deaths per day.

What we know are the Canuck players are feeling the effects more so than any other NHL team before them. This is not the same as before that you naively continue tell everyone.

Another potential waiver scraps Jacob de la Rosa. This team might need a few extra bodies. He is a big bodied player 6'3" 215 lbs.
