That Kane pass was just dumb. Preds are lining up across the blue line making entries tough, so dump it in and go get it. - HawkintheD
You kind of learn that in Pee Wee hockey right??? |

From the first power play, they were knocking pucks out of the air. Right, just dump & go to work. I'm not upset by the play, so much improvement from the last games. Strome & Hagel have impressed me the most this game. |

2 man advantage, can’t win a face off and shooting from bad angles with no one in front of the net.
Strome should be on the PP, not Dach. |

After the first lost faceoff, switch to Strome. Someone. Good shots, but need the worker in front & less passing. |

Has the shine wore off on Janmark? I've been tired of him long ago.
Sadly, hawks get a taste of their own medicine. More shots on goal, spurts of sustained pressure, more pp opportunities, but down on the scoresheet. |

Juicy rebound from Lankinen and Murphy swings and misses on the clearing attempt. |

At least the debate of the Hawks being buyers or sellers at the deadline is settled. |

I liked it better when the Hawks were under water in advanced stats except where it counted on the scoreboard. This is why I think advanced stats are WAY overrated. |

The Big KarASS must have lost his TV privileges at his Residential facility
Huge 5-3 almost full 2 minute penalty kill. Preds are down top line and 3 of top 6 Defencemen so really a game Hocks should have won. Be interesting to see what level this team can reach when they get their real team back. Saros sure making his case as a number one goalie. |

If the Piss-stains get into the playoffs, at least Hynes will be their coach for another 2 years. Might even get coach of the year if he can pull it off. Too bad they will be one and done if they do make it.
We aren't the dumpster fire I thought we would be at the beginning of the year, playoffs or not.

Kane and been playing like ass for two weeks now. - GPHawksfan
I totally agree with your assessment of Kane’s play of late. He is either very frustrated because his lineman are constantly not scoring on great passes set up by him. Or he has realized that this team is not going to make the playoff with so many young players on the team and has decided to take the foot off the pedal and go through the motions the rest of the season. Kane’s defense has never been great but now it is atrocious. Something is definitely going on in his head. |

Maybe he had baby duty this week and had a lack of sleep. |

There's no case to be made. Saros is the #1. |

From the sound of it, even though it was pleasantly windy today, 18 holes was the right choice today. |

That's only 5 straight wins over the Hawks (out of 5 games played). This time with a completely depleted team. With that said, the Hawks were beat by Saros. He stole the game. |

Soros saw all of the 40 SOGs - he was in front of almost all - blocked almost all with his body. Excellent positioning, but Hawks didn’t make him move much (or quickly), couldn’t find the corners (two glove saves, very few kick savesI think), and shot almost all of the 40 into his chest or pads.
Chicago was the 5x5 on-ice battle, but they had (usually have) no ability to find the top shelf corners. |

There are enough other problems or issues with Colliton and certain players, so with this from Kane, is a dagger to playoff hope. |
