Sadly, I can’t see it happening. I expect we’ll be just playing out the last 15 games with nothing to play for. - Hextall271

Trade Laughton to a team like Colorado at the deadline for a 1st and you can use the 1st rounder as a sweetener for Seattle to take Jake. These are the kinds of gut wrenching moves that need to be made to churn this roster over
After next year they can be free of the ginger babies completely, resign coots and realign the leadership - Just5
No team is giving a first for Laughton although the idea of adding some extra picks to use with Seattle is a must. |

How we play TK and sit Jake and see how many less turnovers and bad passes to the opposing team there are in the game?
I am stoked Tanner gets a chance to play today, hopefully he impresses and sticks. - michaelputt
Yeah. Curious about Allison as well. |

We can do what we should do and finish with the worst possible record we can.
Period. There is zero to gain otherwise.
And I refuse to accept 'moralistic' victories being useful.

Scott Laughton will be the next former Flyer to lift the Cup.
Carter Hart can save our season, starting tonight. If he plays well and can steal a few for us, we're right back in this thing. Unfortunately I don't think it happens.

To inject some size and nasty into the lineup, I’d be all for a move to trade w/ Winnipeg that would land us Forbort and Lowry. Both big and strong, play a hard-nosed game, and positionally sound. |

If Konecny is scratched in favor of Patrick then this is another reason to criticize AV. Doesn't make sense.
-MJL
The only thing that would make sense is if they are showcasing Patrick for a deadline trade, otherwise, you're right, can't figure this out. |

I think he could especially this year with the lack of scouting. Either that or maybe a prospect. May get more if we must take a player back.
But I see them keeping Scott. Raff could get a mid pick imo. Barring a Cinderella story this year is about finished.
I think of the arms race between the habs and leafs. Someone else mentioned the avs. Hell the oilers may do something stupid as well. |

He has shown a lot of frustration lately. But many have. Seems like coots and laughts are aggravated as well but for other reasons. |

Let’s go Flyers! - NC Flyers Fan
Wait, what?
Optimism, hope? A flyers' fan?
My aged (and much beloved by me) and now deceased aunt Phyl, did a needle point for me.
"A New Day, A New Hope, A new Joy" on a bed of flowers.
She was astoundingly good with any thread. She made $50 a day (For the kids, $40 /week was minimum wage.) in the middle of the last century designing sweaters for Robert Bruce and her work stands well in the tumult of time.
That one piece hangs over my the exit of my bedroom. It helps to read it before I leave the chamber, especially being a Flyers' fan.
GO FLYERS!
Thanks, Aunt Phyl.
ANd you too NC

A smart man once said, “I would rather be an optimist and a fool than a pessimist and be right.”
Confidence can be a factor for positive change if you can see it.

Like MJL mentioned earlier in the thread Flyers will have potentially 9 D men on the roster if they call up York. Something has to happen, err, a few things have to happen.
#1 waive Gus. There should be no debate here. This is the simplest move of them all.
#2 Try like hell to move Braun. This is unlikely but to me makes sense. He’s not any sort of long term solution moving forward. It’s better to move him than be forced to trade an extra young guy when the team is clearly not headed anywhere this season.
#3 Either carry 7 D men or figure out who the odd man out is. Might very well be Hagg. I don’t think they’ll have an issue getting a pick for him if they go that route. They can also waive Ghost again (because why wouldn’t he clear again) and then try to move him in the summer.
Either way it’s time for Myers and Sanhiem to step up. We’re dead in the water for the foreseeable future if they continue to play terribly. |

If i am GM of this team, in the off season,
i am calling Ottawa to make a deal for G
i am calling Seattle to take the dumpster fire Jake off our hands (it will cost us)
i am calling anyone to take Ghost(1m retained)
Then yes i am a broken record i call Anaheim and make a deal - michaelputt
If I'm Giroux and you tell me you want to trade me to Ottawa. I tell you I have a NMC and to go to hell.

Gostisbehere doesn't need to clear waivers again until 10 games or 30 days have passed. He move freely until then.

Ah true. At least least that’s gives them some flexibility.
I still really have no clue if they intend to bring York in or just let him go to the Phantoms. |
