Hall (35 % retained) say Detroit then they retain 40% of Hall salary then they he goes to the Leafs for a 4th round pick
Ullmark (30 % retained) to the Leafs
Buffalo from the 1st 2021, 2nd 2022 + Hutchinson + prospect
Dermott + 2nd 2021 for Oleksiak
- dmnted
Dermott (RFA) for Oleksiak (UFA) seems like a fair deal. No need to throw in a 2nd to sweeten the pot. If a pick has to go the other way, then something much lower like a 6th.

I'm hearing top 12 forward or top 6 D or top 2 goalie.
Its great for Leaf's fans to follow a team with deadline options. The Habs, Oil and Jets are constantly stymied by NTCs. Desperation in Montreal has compelled Bergevin to scour the league, signing undesirable post-decline primordials. In retrospect, Dubas has the option to select from the top available deadline targets. It seems to be a good time for Leafs fans.

Hall (50%) + Ullmark (25%)
Kerfoot + Hutch + Barabanov + 2021 1st

I was thinking using a 3rd team just to retain cap space. Like what the Leafs did with Chicago Vegas deal for Lehner
less of a hit for the Leafs as they don't have much cap left to use.

I think they have 1.5 mill that could bring 3.5 to 4 mill in players, then they could put Freddy on the LTIR and get another player or players worth 5 mill.
They're fine.

Can we add Doug Ford (retained) plus a second for Bob Rae?

Bob Rae has his dream job, back at the UN where his dad help start the place and his sister was Magnolia Queen of DC.
Must be gorgeous there right (except for crazy man who just got offed trying to ram the Capitol). It’s such a beautiful city in the spring. Sucks in the winter. Was built on a swamp and is so hot and humid you want to die.

I’m happy for him. I’ve had a few great conversations with him while we were flying remote North on somewhat sketchy small planes about ten years ago.
Now that’s a guy who wouldn’t have shut down small business and let the rich get richer.
But I guess it’s kinda unfair to compare a classy politician to a Hash dealing Hillbilly.

I got to know his family through his brother knew who died of leukaemia and got to deal with him a little bit in government. All my best government friends worked fir him in the Post Secondary Review and loved the guy. The report was really good but government sucked out.
