I'd take him hopefully not for a first unless they try and keep him next year as a third line guy

I don't see them being able to get him re-signed and fit him under the cap. He's already making $4.65M and I'm sure he's not going to take a pay cut.

But 2021 1st's are going to be pretty unpredictable so it wouldn't be terrible to use it, especially assuming we make a long playoff run again.

I love Palmieri but to me it still doesn’t solve the first line LW issue, unless Beau goes there. Then we just need a third line LW. I see Palmieri playing RW w Nelson and Bailey. Maybe I’m putting too much thought into their shots but I’m not a fan of all L and R shots on one line, let alone two lines of them.

Yea tough sell for a rental but it's a weaker draft. That said the prospect Pool isn't very deep

If Johnston broke his thumb he is done for the year. Put him on LTIR and you get a little more cash to help out at the deadline. Sucks we needed him against the Caps Tuesday. If it’s a concussion will they still put him on LTIR? Can they? How much of the 1 million salary do they
get to use? Pretty sure you don’t get the full million.

They can put him on LTIR if he's going to miss 10 games and 24 days

I just want to know what's going on with Palmieri. I can't imagine they'd have kept him out of the lineup if they weren't far along in talks with a team or teams.

If he's off the board then I'm not sure exactly what the Isles will do. I still don't think Lou or Barry would touch Hall with a ten foot pole, unless he happens to come super cheap.

That pretty much leaves, realistically, Foligno, Glendening if they just want a depth guy (he's money in the faceoff circle, might be nice to play with Pageau if he'll play LW)....Dzingel?? Ryan?

Meh -- too much needs to happen. BOS has a 4pt lead and 3 games in hand. The Rangers would have to go on an absolute tear and the Bruins lose damn near every game they play for that to happen. If it wasn't in-division games only it might be a possibility but I think that one is a major long-shot.
