The average deaths per flu season in Canada over the last 20 years is right around 6-7K.

That's without the current restrictions to curb exponential growth.

Thanks Carol.

It’s an absolute joke that hockey is cancelled because one player caught the flu. It’s bad enough that there aren’t fans in the building. All of these restrictions and lockdown are purely political postering at this point. It’s unacceptable and Trudeau, Bonnie etc need to held accountable for their actions. It’s inexcusable that all restrictions haven’t been lifted at this point.

Pleased with the Demko deal. It’s very risky but the type of risk the club needs to take at this point. I anticipate surplus value in a few years when they hopefully are contenders

For someone who says loudly this is such a small thing, you're going a far ways out of your way to get a COVID shot from a different country.

Wondering how you're even eligible for that, as well.

That you're comparison of Covid and the flu is like comparing Gretzky and Petterson.

I’m going down to golf and work on my house. But I may as well do my part and grab a vaccine while I’m there. A friend of mine just walked into a Walgreens last week and they gave him a shot. No proof of property or citizenship required.

Oh it’s a bad flu for sure. I just don’t agree with the governments approach. Immune compromised should isolate until they get a vaccine. The flu should run through the healthy subsection of the population that is still required to work. I had no issues with the measures taken early in the pandemic but once the vaccine was available the approach should have changed

Most of the country is immune compromised in some way or another. I think in the long run letting it rip through the country would be worse for us than taking the measures we have.

The economy is fine and getting stronger.

Tell that to small business owners. Shutting them down with 6 hours notice is criminal

I know people that are extremely healthy(eat right, work out, etc) with no history getting their life flipped upside-down after getting COVID. Some people have unknown issues and it is proving to be a larger % than people who have known issues. People unable to self isolate for any period of time is what drags this out. If everyone quarantined for 14 days(longer if you show symptoms during this period) COVID would be gone within a month.

It’s strange for sure but thats extremely rare. I know around 50 people that have had it and none had serious symptoms. Even senior citizens that had it said it wasn’t any worse than the regular flu. Around half had no symptoms at all (which is why it’s so contagious). But the unusual outlier (21 year athlete) that dies will get all the media coverage.

It took out 1/3 of all people in an old age home in my hometown in a month.

Von Miller got it and although he has asthma is a premier athlete and said he didn't feel right 3 months later.

I'm a small business owner and March was my 6th best month in the last 15 years, I could handle covid sticking around for some time.

That's 3 million people alone with asthma.

How many cancer survivors? Diabetics? Obese? Elderly? Other afflictions?

Many small businesses adapt. Those that don't are usually destined to fail within 5 years anyways.

No. Not being able to breathe correctly while you were laying down or trying to sleep.
