If during the expansion draft the player does not get the check mark on capfriendly to meet the requirements can they still be picked if others meet the requirements?

Says OJ needs 12 games this season to meet the requirements.

I read the outline for it but doesnt give specifics to it.

Beef Welly is my absolute fav. Gordon’s recipe is pretty good but I’d put my mom’s recipe against his any day (even though it’s considered his signature dish). It’s all about the pâté and the pastry. Plus my mom makes individual wellies so you get lots of pastry.

The only reason a player can NOT be selected is if they are protected by their team, or if they are exempt.

lol. No. My mom’s a techno-tard. She still has issues figuring out the tv remote.

This is true.

A flu that caused large-cell myocarditis in my sister in law.

She’s a mother of four.

She had to have a heart transplant.

But seriously, it’s just a flu.

Yeah, they shouldn’t be worried about who they lose. And they can probably take advantage of a team who is going to lose a good player.

They have to expose a certain amount of players, but ya there’s a difference between exposure and being eligible to be taken.

Remarkably well.

She had the operation less than a week after they told her she needed one - which is completely unheard of. Every single medical person told her how lucky she was.

One interesting tidbit:

She says that everyone in our generation has a “holy franking poop” reaction when they find out she had a heart transplant. But the younger generations aren’t quite as shocked - they view it as a regular medical procedure.

Of course, she is now on immune suppressants, so it’s still very worrisome.

It’s why the Leafs signed Hutchinson for two years - strictly to expose him.

Yeah, that’s where I was going with that question. I work for one of the health authorities in BC and got a chance to do some work for BC Transplant. Great group of people but the stories are crushing. High rate of successful operations but it’s the years of treatment to try and stop the body from rejecting the new organ.

How long ago was your sister’s transplant?

I can see why the Boeser Dumba rumours are coming up again. With Van drafting where they are. Could certainly get a forward as good as Boeser in a year or two plus fill a hole on defence.

Boeser value pretty high. Minny would have to add a little. I wanted Adam beckman in the draft. I would accept him as the plus. 😁

Just curious, but you do bug her to death now don't you?

The whole, you are a lot nicer since your transplant. I knew since we were kids you needed a new heart

Have a great Saturday everyone

Beef wellington (Gordon ramsay recipe), baked asparagus, garlic mash and some apothic cabernet sauvignon. Enjoy your long weekend.

That dinner sounds amazing, but man, you gotta spend $10 more and get a proper bottle. Apothic is just fermented Cool-aid. It can barely stand up to fast food, let alone a rich hearty dish like beef Wellington.

Svechnikov clears, losing faith in Benning. I was hoping the entire 4th line was going to be waiver picks up for the first game back after the extra long extended break.

Yeah, I didn’t want to make him feel bad about his choice.

Had a 2018 Bench PG last night, so delicious. Love the acidity and subtle lees notes.
