The buy in that this team has gone through this season is incredible. We went from the sky falling, people calling for Sully's head and wondering whether it was time to break up the core... to this.
Not sure what the result of the season will be, but the Penguins are a special team to watch right now. |

The problem right now is if (big if) fully healthy, you'd be bumping erod out who has more than deserved ice time the last 5ish games. So no matter what trade, you're taking someone out who probably doesn't deserve it.
Now, if we can upgrade, then we should do it. Just the negative side of making a trade when the team is rolling. - buckster2342
That’s called depth and it’s a really good thing. |

I'm not so sure the brass are eager to make any trades. Team is playing solid, banking points and their deadline acquisition could be Geno. - MattStrat

Oh I get it. Just sucks for erod cuz he is turning it on.
It also assumes we are 100% healthy which is highly unlikely.

I like the Glendening idea. Honestly, I wouldn't do much more than that. Rutherford was addicted to "the trade". I'm convinced the constant churn became a negative. |

Yea I agree. Most deadline acquisitions don't work because bubble playoff teams are the ones usually grabbing them. I wouldn't call us a bubble team. Let's get Hall and pull an 08 and win this time. |

There’s a big difference between revolving the door of the bottom six and the bottom pairing and bringing in one more top 9 forward for a playoff push. Weirdly, Rutherford never really did that with a team that was set and playing really well despite his huge amount of trades. |

I'd absolutely love to snag Hall. I just think other teams will want him and have more to offer. It would actually be insane to get him IMO. You'd see an immediate pep in his step. |

"Certainly, we'd like to add a forward if we could," Hextall said. "The price has got to be right. We have cap issues. We don't want to give up a ton of futures. So we would try to do that. The big, physical forward would be nice to add if we can find the right guy."
Also mentioned that in the last month his view of the team has changed for the better and says a player isn’t needed to help right now. |

Penguins are a legit Stanley Cup Threat. They are playing like a team possessed with defense I never thought I would ever say that but we have arrived at that juncture right now. Despite injuries they just keep winning and are impressive in doing so.
My pick for the Cup vs Vegas |

We were excellent last year until Guentzel went down and we just never recovered from that injury. We somehow didn’t get really going until we started getting hurt this year. |

Can’t believe that Boston commentator tried bringing up Casey’s past “issue” during live broadcast in the 3rd. Such a POS. Complete unprofessional. I’ve heard spitting chiclets bash him a few time. Now I know why. F that D bag. |

They started playing like this before the injuries struck and that wasn't the case last year. I could be wrong though. |

Their broadcast is one of the most homerish in the league.
