Goaltending has been a massive part of the problem. They're not even making saves on stoppable shots. At this point, I'd be happy if they did that!

Why aren't they making saves on stoppable shots?

He is "pacing" for a career year. Some GM's always overpay, even in hard times. Will def be interesting to see what he settles for.

Then go get someone like him and let him move on. Need fresh players.

If you can get "someone like him" for cheaper, then I'm all for it.

One thing i would do though is get Alison and Laczynski in the lineup. I know thy wanted them to get more games in LH but both bring skills this team could use. Raffl, Twaynski, Bunnamann have been good soldiers but they are what they are.

Give me something like this Saturday.

Jvr - Couturier - Farabee
Giroux - Hayes - Konecny
Alison - Patrick - Voracek
Lindbom - Lauhgton - Laczynski

Alison and Laczynski both have been playing well in LH and look like guys that can bring and energy and both have offensive skills. Alison has an NHL shot and shoot first mentality. Also both have solid size and skate well.

Get Farabee back with Couturier. He looked confident there.
And if your not using York in the lineup, Gostisbehere should be on that 3rd pair with Morin. I don't need to see Gustufson or Prosser

Why would you take young players who have been having success, remove them from that situation. Then insert them into a team that is a dysfunctional mess? For what?

I just allocate his money elsewhere is all. Not about the player more about change.

Conveniently it’s not going to happen with anyone paid by Comcast either. It’s not limited to Bill.

There’s a reason JJ and Jonesy got caught saying what they said on a hot mic and not on air.

- hereticpride

Have you noticed that since the hot mic incident they have both become even more homerish, or is it just me?

I don't know what anyone expects. The team "leaders" played their ass off in the 3rd period of the previous game and brought the team back to victory in OT. Do you want them to play like that in the next game? For the whole game? Two games in a row? C'mon, be reasonable.

Home feed is always going to be homers. I think they bite their tongues sometimes though.

Even Taryn was wise cracking last night.

As long as you can score a goal to ink out a win during a losing streak once a year...you are considered clutch I think.

Alison and Laczynski are both 23. Older than Farabee and Patrick. SO if we are worried about the youth then I guess we needs to send Farabee and Patrick to the phantoms to avoid the dysfunction.

i think both players can fill roles on the NHL team without having the Flyers to make a trade. i am not asking them to solve the issues but I think they bring upgrades over Raffl, Twarynski, bunnamann and possibly over aube-kubal.

I UNDERSTAND THAT JUST FINE!!! That's not the question/topic. We're discussing whether or not the Flyers should even bother trying to bring Laughton back, or just let him walk. That begs the question, if they're going to attempt to re-sign him, then what is his cost realistically going to look like?
I fully expect him to explore FA. He would be dumb not to.

- Big_E_88

Laughton is a fine player but not some kind of keystone block. Perfect player to sell goodbye

I feel bad for Taryn the most, she deserves a better team.

They have a good thing going there up in Lehigh I say leave them and tell them to bring home the Calder. That is how young players in an organization gel

Based on their AHL play they are upgrades. 3 of those 4 are 4th line dime a dozen players every organization has in their system or team.

Those 2 have more upside than those 4 so demote the others and let them play. At a minimum they would be hungry and motivated.

They have been neutered.

A 6-1 loss to a team on an 18 game losing streak minus their best player is as embarrassing as it gets. The fact it happened two weeks after losing 9-0 shows the players have zero accountability, a lack of pride, lack of guts. They could care less that everyone is mocking and laughing at them. Pathetic.

I agree with what others have stated...offer Laughton a 2-3 year contract at a modest raise and hope he takes it. He is on my keeper list but who knows if he will choose to stay.

So are we all finally all on board with we will never win with g/Jake/Jvr at top of roster? Or are there still believers out there? I mean some of us been saying this for at least the last few years.

Wait for them to turn 30, then insert them in the lineup.

You’ll have to pry the kool aid out of some of these guys cold, dead hands.

Idk how anyone whose followed this team for the past decade isn’t fed up with this franchise.

I can't speak for anyone else, but there are times when the team is winning and I am disgusted with their play. I wonder if fans of other teams feel this way.

My first thought was "I doubt there is even a Flyer player listed". Then I looked, says it all.
