This is all on the players, a month of historical terrible hockey falls on them. No one holding each other accountable, this team is cotton soft, no heart. Hopefully this is a lesson learned not to sign goofballs like Kevin Hayes to $50M contracts. |

Man I try not to be a part of team negative but this team just isn't fun to watch. At all. This organization is a joke from management to it's players
I am more excited to read about the phantoms then I am this flyers team.
Playoffs are gone

Has the time come to see if Giroux would waive his NMC to go anywhere? He has 1 more year left after this year. Retain 50%. If people want this team to sell then don't you have to think about moving Giroux. When his deal is up your going to need to give Couturier a raise. Giroux at 50% retain could be a nice piece for a team in the win now mode. Again it is up to him though. |

Hayes is fine even if I agree overpaid and too long term
But at least he is no defensive liability and also tries things in offensive zone
Without a proper sniper it doesn't help much

I feel the same way. Bad goaltending demoralizes everything and takes away any chance to improve in the short term. Time to sell.

He may be that missing piece to push a team over the top. I would imagine if he did get moved you would see an invigorated player. Yes they should ask him to waive it imo. |

Man, what season have you watched? Hayes is fine ? He has been a total 180 from last year, barely ever engaged in the play. He looks lost. |

First of all it is not all on the players. It is mostly on the players for sure but the coaching staff deserves their share of the blame.
I don't recall where you stood, but this fanbase was overwhelmingly in favor of bringing in free agents and making the team better. They were tired of waiting. How long does a rebuild take. I read some posting that Hextall's plan has failed. Hextall's plan hasn't failed. The current regimes plan has failed. I didn't want the Flyers to sign a player long term. Though I also said if they did, Hayes was the player that I preferred. They got rid of the action bias of the previous GM and the previous coach who was the problem. Here we sit.

A strong strong mostly on the players. I was in favor for bringing someone in to stabilize the defense, I was advocating for a guy like Montour that obviously wasn’t a game changer but maybe someone who could stabilize the group at a lower cost. I was on the fence on ekholm depending on the cost and his next contract , that was a tricky one especially with the ED this off-season. |

All the people saying it's time to sell, the only players on this roster that have any value are Couturier, Provorov, Farabee.
Outside of that it's a combination of veterans with bad contracts, players with NMC, or struggling young players you'd be trading for pennies on the dollar.
It's an absolute dumpster fire. With Fletcher's track record, no one should be confident in him improving things. |

I was talking from his contract and what you get for the money
Not any specifics to his play
Not a single player played in March up to expected standard |

I don't think singing Kevin Hayes is an issue. Again who saw a global pandemic coming that would cause sports to change and cause a flat cap now. Also I still don't think you know what you have in Patrick and Frost is now hurt and will becoming off injury.
Also everything is magnified in a shorten season. So a bad month is killer in a season like this.
I am not sure exactly what to do. I do think the core needs a reboot a little but not sure how you do it.

This team is slow and soft(probably the softest team in the league if not the slowest). It's stunning the change in 14 months. From looking like the best team in the league to now being the worst team in the league(yes, I think they are currently the worst). Changes aplenty need to be made, but I have ZERO confidence that dullard Chucky has a clue as to how he is going to fix it. I haven't liked one move he has made as GM here and he was a bozo in Minny(they were the most boring team in the league when he was there). |

I would think the jury is still out on him, he was very strong last year and in the playoffs but I’ve thought he’s had a poor year and looks disinterested. Maybe a slight overreaction on my part, I honestly wish this season was over and we can start the off-season |

Are you saying that Hayes current level of play and for this season as a whole is not a problem?
Are you seriously saying that the worst month of Flyers hockey arguably in my lifetime is just being magnified due to the shorten season?
